Dec 11 2018

The last round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series was in Lake Havasu last weekend and I had a great race. I was happy getting on the podium with a third place finish.

Final points for the year have me in fourth place, so I will run the #04 for 2019.

I will race the District 37 National Grand Prix Series and District 37 Sprint Enduro Series for 2019.

I will be racing my 2018 Honda 450R.

Nov 10 2018

The 50th Anniversary of the Lake Elsinore Grand Prix was today and I place 1st. in the 40+ class and then after that in the "Harvey Mushman" 100 mile Pro race I finished 7th. overall, being beat only by the top pros with the names of Trevor Stewart, Justin Seeds, Blayne Thompson, Dalton Shirey, Clay Hengeveld, and Connor Kilmartin.

I felt really good with my race results for the day.

Nov 3 2018

The 7th. round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series was in Gorman Ca. and I place 3rd!

Another podium finish! I had some great racing with a competitor, going back and fourth to secure 3rd.

Oct 6 2018

After a summer break, Big 6 Grand Prix series was in Ridgecrest Ca. for the 6th. round and I finished 3rd! My best finish yet so far this year. I'm feeling better with my shoulder getting stronger every month.

May 5 2018

The 5th. round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series was in Primm, Nevada and I finished 11th.

The start was stacked with a lot of top riders like Ty Davis and Johnny Cambell along with our normal fast guys in the group. The dust was horrible on the start and I wasn't going to crash in the dust. The first few turns were a brown out and I was glad to have some fresh air after I got into the desert.

I was happy to finish this one as a fellow racer Jay Sexton was sent to the hospital the day before in the unclassified race.

Apr 7 2018

The 4th. round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series was in 29 Palms and I finished 7th.

It was a fast course and I felt good with the high speeds.

Mar 4 2018

The 3rd. round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series was at Glen Helen Raceway and I finished 10th.

The race was a muddy slippery mess from the rain and just wanted to finish.

Feb 7 2018

The 2nd. round of the Big 6 Grand Prix series in Taft, Ca. was my first race for 2018 and I finished 7th.

I was happy with my finish as a friend and competitor was taken out at the start and was sent to the hospital. We had a restart, but I tell you it messes with your head. I want to finish.

I had missed the first round in Adelanto in January due to a back injury I sustained the week before the race in practice. No crash, I had just landed wrong and put it out. I had it adjusted by my chiropractor and was good to go but didn't want to take any chances so I sat the first round out.

Big 6 Grand Prix series does throw 1 race out at the end of the series so I knew I would be ok, with being consistent the rest of the year.

Dec 13 2017

Last race of the AMA District 37 Big 6 Grand Prix Series was in Havasu. It was my second race back after my shoulder surgery in January. The Baja 1000 was the first race, which I had done part of to help the team. I've had 10 months of extensive therapy to strengthen and stabilize my shoulder. I'm getting stronger everyday and working daily really helps the progress.

I had purchased a new Honda 450R from Malcolm Smith Motorsports 3 weeks ago and been dialing it in and with only 2 hours on it, I went racing. Not having much time on the course, compared to the other racers and not going for any championship points and having little time on the bike and even riding, I raced at a comfortable pace, finishing 6th place.

I will have a month before Adelanto Grand Prix to get my speed and endurance up like it used to be before my surgery. I'm looking forward to the 2018 season.

Nov 26 2017

First race back was the 50th Score Baja1000 since my shoulder surgery. The race went well in my section and I rode well, averaging a speed of 42 mph. Our team was in second place until one rider down South in the fog hit a silt bed and crashed. The team had to retrieve bike and rider which set us back an hour or so. We ended up 4th place out of the seven teams competing against us.

This year did not start out to well with a shoulder surgery to repair a torn bicep, labrum, and rotator cuff tear. The recovery includes weekly professional therapy and daily home therapy. I will be as good as new once the healing is complete. I will be representing your brands in the meantime any where I go and I thank you for your continuing support.

For 2017 I do hold the #1 plate in the AMA District 37 Big6 Grand Prix series for the Senior(40+) Heavyweight Expert class. That is 3 years in a row!! Unfortunately, I won't be able to defend my title this  year, due to my recovery time with this surgery.

In Score Baja Desert Championship series for 2016 our team(400X) placed 3rd for the season. When I won the Rosarito Beach race(40 class) it did the team well, but it wasn't enough to clinch the Championship like we did in 2015, and in the Baja 1000 we had some issues and that decided the final points.

Thank you so much for the continued support, I couldn't have accomplished it all without you.

I feel very blessed to represent the finest companies in our sport and look forward to getting back to what I love to do real soon.

Dec 5 2016

The Big 6 Grand Prix Series has came to an end racing at the Lake Elsinore Sports Park.

With the Championship already won by my great finishes this year and knowing the Big 6 throws out one race of your worst finish of the year and I didn't miss a race, I wasn't too worried about a first place finish.

I had friends and family coming out and it's a close track to me. The dirt here is clay, so it's either dry and dusty or wet and very slick. I got a great start and led for a couple laps and by the third lap Rick Pratt got by me on his new Yamaha. A couple laps later Paul Krause took an inside line up the blue-groove and got by me. Then on the last lap, we did six laps, Scott Putnam squeezed by. So my fourth place finish was the worst place finish in the Big 6 this year, so in the end it was thrown out! We all have so much fun out there as I'm friends with all my competition and we encourage each other to do better! It's good they all "think" they can beat me, so this coming year should be interesting! That's three years in a row I've won the Championship and hold the #1 plate in the Senior(40+) Heavyweight Expert Class!

Nov 21 2016

The Baja 1000 was a great race with everybody safe and we finished. With a fourth place finish after a 20 minute penalty for a rider missing 2 VCP's(virtual check points) we missed 3rd. place by five minutes. In the beginning we had a rider crash a few times with the dust and ruts in his section requiring fixes on the motorcycle. When I got on the motorcycle at mile marker 295 we were @55 minutes off of first place. We were in 4th. and about thirty minutes from third place. I got on and raced my 120 mile section in @3 hrs and catching the other riders being only @10 minutes behind third place!

When I got off the bike, the big lights were installed and Brian Pinard took over and he did very well reeling in the competion. Ten hours later we were in fourth place and that's how we finished. Winning the Championship last year was awesome but we ended up third in the series this year!

Nov 7 2016

Big 6 Grand Prix series in Gorman Calif was a close race with a second place finish. Scott Putnam finished first and Paul Krause third. Last year Scott had finished a second behind me! I have 150 points lead now! Pretty much wrapped up the Championship with my 4 wins and 3 second place finishes this year.

The  Baja 1000 is in a couple weeks! Going down next weekend to prerun my section. Race mile 295-415. It's a brutal section full off rocks, silt beds and a couple 100mph. sections.

Oct 11 2016

Round 6 of the Big 6 Grand Prix Series in Ridgecrest Ca. was exciting. With a 1st. place finish and a big points lead, I'm going in to the final rounds pretty confident I will have the #1 plate for 2017. It wasn't an easy race with my competition finishing less then a second behind me after 52 minutes of racing!

Sep 19 2016

Last weekend was the Score Rosarito 250. The course was rocky, silty, and had some high-speed ridges scattered with more rocks. We raced the day after the Trophy trucks, so the course was very challenging with deep silt beds and turned up rocks. I ended up racing the whole race myself and placing 1st.!!! In November I will be racing in the Baja 1000.

Big 6 Grand Prix in Ridgcrest is in 2 weeks. With 150 points lead, I'm going into th last 3 rounds feeling good.

Jul 26 2016

The Baja 500 this year was brutal. A heat wave came in and in my 2nd section( I also started the race) down in San Felipe, past Zoo Road the temps were well over 120 degrees. I paced myself and got through my section with no issues. Two rider tragically died from heat related symptoms. We finished 3rd. place, being only 2 1/2 minutes behind 2nd. place and 10 minutes off of first place. After 11 1/2 hours of racing it was that close at the finish.

Apr 27 2016

Round 5 of the Big6 GP series this weekend in Primm, Nevada. Thanks MSR Racing for my new gear and Lucas Oil for the sponsorship! I've been practicing at local Pala and Milestone tracks with a little "back yard" roosting from the house in the evening. Baja 500 in June will be a blast, I'll start pre running soon.

Apr 6 2016

Big 6 GP last weekend was great! Placed 1st. and Paul Krause finished 3 seconds behind me again. Adelanto GP was the same. Fast paced raced and my Yamaha 450FX loved it! Next race is Primm, Nevada for the 5th round of the Big 6 GP series.

Mar 17 2016

Round 4 of the Big 6 Grand Prix series is being held in 29 Palms April 2-3, 2016.

Mar 17 2016

Round 3 of the Big 6 Grand Prix series I finished FIRST! It was held at Glen Helen and was a mud mess. I was able to keep the FX tracking true and fast getting to first place by the second lap.

Mar 11 2016

San Felipe 250 went well with a third place finish for team 400X.

Round 3 of Big6 Grand Prix series at Glen Helen was a mud fest

I placed 1st. Ahead of Pratt and Krause. Next race is Twenty-nine Palms in April.

Feb 11 2016

Second round of the Big 6 Grand Prix  series I placed second. Going this weekend down to San Felipe to start pre running my section for the San Felipe 250 coming up in 2 weeks.

Jan 18 2016

Adelanto Grand Prix placed FIRST!!. Had a great race. My new Yamaha FX450 is fantastic!

Jan 1 2016

Happy New Year! I'm so excited for 2016 because I'm defending the #1 plate again in the Big 6 Grand Prix Series and our team won the Class- 40 Championship in the Score Baja Seies. We also won the Overall Motorcycle Championship,  even beating top Pro Colton Udall! We will be running the 400x motorcycle for 2016.

Thank you to all my sponsors for making this happen.
