Personal History

I am a first generation dirt bike rider.  Ever since a young age I have been hanging around my neighbor’s house who has 30+ years of riding experience.  He was the reason I bought my first bike when I was 12 years old.  Ever since then and throughout high school we would ride as much as possible, mostly on trails in the woods near our neighborhood.  At the time, my neighbor was scoring the AWRCS series.  This gave me an opportunity to tag along and have a first hang account of the racing experience.  It was a great experience being able to work registration, course marshalling and working other aspects of the event.  As much as I would have liked to race in many of those events, working was of more importance.  Whenever a chance did present itself to race I jumped on it.

Eventually I went off the college and racing/riding were put onto hold for a while.  I would try to ride as much as possible over breaks, however work would usually limit my time.  Now that I have graduated college with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and started working full time, I have the opportunity to ride every night after work and am free on the weekends.  This has given me a chance to start to prepare for what I hope will be a full season of racing in 2015.  I have been using this time to get back onto the bike and pick up where I have left off and advance.  Every time I get a chance to ride I try to work on many different aspects and improve upon myself.

Riding Goals

My biggest overall goal for the 2015 racing season is to enjoy what I am going to be doing.  I have waiting several years for the opportunity to race an entire season and held over by racing a handle full of events several years back.  I am really excited to have an opportunity to put a full season together.  Im always looking to improve on technique and line sleections.  One of the mos timportant things i have learned in my limited racing experience is not to follow anyones line, and dont bet on the same lines being available on the next lap.

For the 2015 Season i plan on racing my YZ125 in the XC-2C class for the AWRCS series.  I would also like to race in the XC-2B class to gain the experience and test the speed of a higher class.  If I got a chance, I would also like to race a YZ 250 in the XC-1C or XC-1B class.
