Personal History
Riding Hare-Scramblessince 1988.
I got back into racing in late 2020 after 10 years of not racing. I spent a lot of time traveling for work. I work for the Dept of Defense and worked at many military bases around the world and in war zones. I also traveled with my daughter for her National travel softball team and that took up my summers for 5 years. I decided to race the entire 2021 season just to have some fun with old friends and to celebrate turning 50! Never did I imagine I would win my first race in my career but also win my first class championship. I’m lucky to have great riding friends and support of my wife, my 22 year old daughter and 4 year old son.
Riding Goals
I missed most of 2022 due to shoulder surgery. Planned a comeback for 2023 but it was cut short due to health issues. I'll be undergoing brain surgery at the end of September. The prognosis looks good to be able to be back on the bike late spring early summer of 2024!
Competitive Highlights
Winning the 2021 Pennsylvania D6 Cross Country Championship in the C Super Senior Class and winning my first race this year. Finished 3rd at the Rauch Creek hare scramble national in 2005.
