Personal History
My name is David Blosser and I'm addicted to racing motocross. I eat, sleep and live to ride motocross, at least that is what it says on my license plate frame. I just want to ride my motorcycle. I love getting together with my buddies to ride out at the desert and camping out. But racing is my favorite thing to do. I can't belive I'm still doing it at 53 years old.
It all started about 1968, my Dad would borrow a friends motorcycle, a Suzuki 80, and he would let me ride in the field down the street. I used to read motorcycle magazines, my favorite was Cycle Guide. Then we started to go out to the desert with my Dad's friends and spend the weekend. A couple of them would race in the desert and then I wanted to try it. I would race a Honda CL90 with a staight pipe until I rode Husky 405. Now your talking! I was doing odd jobs at the time and had bought a Honda 160 to ride to school. I saved up enough money to by a Suzuki TM400 in 1971. Now that was a motorcycle, LOL! I was only 16 years old. I raced desert for a little while until a neighbor talked me into coming out for a motocross race at Saddleback Park. We used to ride there all the time and I would sit and watch the races. I thought they where so cool.
And now to make a long story boring, here I am today still at it. I love the competition, working on the bike, motivation to stay in shape and the people that I meet. I love hanging out with my friends and bench racing.
Riding Goals
My goals are always to stay healthy and enjoy every day to the fullist! I plan on competing in the World Vet at Glen Helen Raceway in November, the 4-Stroke Nat'ls at Glen Helen next year and of coarse Mammoth Mountain MX next summer. I will be racing assorted races with VetX and Over the Hill Gang. I also plan on doing the Yamaha Dealer Series at Glen Helen for John Burr Cycles.
Competitive Highlights
I'm always trying to ride my motorcycle to best of my abilities. The older I get, the faster I was!
