Personal History

My name is Dante Oliveira. I am fourteen years old and the middle child out of five children. I live in Hollister California. I am a freshman at San Benito High School. My uncle talked my dad into getting me to start riding. When I was three my parents bought me a PW50 and I have not stopped riding since. I started racing on my sixth birthday. My first race was with AMA District 36 at Marysville. I have been racing AMA District 36, AMA Nationals, and WORCS. On my thirteenth birthday I was riding with Brian Garrahan and my sister and I broke my collar bone and chipped off a piece of my femur. I had to have surgery to take out the piece of bone that came off. I had to train hard to get my leg to catch up. To train for the races I ride figure eights in my front yard. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I ride at a track 408 in Santa Clara. On the weekends I am either racing or riding the GP tack in Hollister or a friends private track. To work on endurance I go to CrossFit every night at 6:45. I do my best to train so I am prepared for race day.

Riding Goals

I am training as hard as I can so I can make riding my future. Currently I am trying to win the A 125 class in AMA nationals and WORCS. I am in first place in the A 125 class in AMA Nationals with only two more races left in the season. In WORCS I am tied for second place. In the future I would like to move back east and be a professional GNCC racer. I went to Tennessee a couple years ago to race a GNNC race that was a double header. I got second in the A 85 class on the first day and third place on the second day. I really liked going to Tennessee and I liked how the GNCC work. I would also like to be a professional endurocross rider. I like the technical part of endurocross.
