Personal History

A mechanical engineer by education, a craftsman by trade, and a dedicated motorcycle enthusiast at heart. I have been maintaining, modifying, and racing the machines I ride since I was child. I did not choose the racing life, but the racing life chose me… During my younger years, I actively competed in local motocross events only to realize I was not nearly as fast as the riders I idolized on TV. Due to my upbringing in northern Minnesota, motocross tracks were few and far between in comparison to the endless miles of single track at my back door. As a result, I found comfort in off-road racing to appease my quest for tight and technical terrain with a dash of moto to defy gravity.

Riding Goals

Despite my eligibility to race Vet A for the 2017 season, I intend on racing Open A to put my riding skills and endurance to the test. I would not say one class is easier than the other, however there is something about turning 30 that makes me want to show that I am still relative to the younger generations.  I was once told by a retired pro rider that its often necessary to race with faster riders to become faster...  And as a result, larger gains must be made in order to survive....
