Personal History
My name is Daniel Jenkins #2 and I am almost 12 years old. I get excellent grades and I stay out of trouble. I love to ride dirtbikes and I also love basketball and snow skiing (of course dirtbikes are my favorite). I live with my sister and my mom, who helps with me with my dirtbike. I ride because it is my favorite thing to do and It keeps me in shape. I love the adrenaline and I like jumping up high off jumps. Riding dirtbikes keeps me out of the house, keeps me motivated, keeps me in shape, and gives me goals. I have been racing for 3 years and I am already improving a lot! I won first place in the 65 junior class season series at Fossil Bowl and this was my first ever summer series. I work really hard and practice a lot. I am dedicated to motocross and I have the goals to win! My dad is not around so it is really hard for my mom to pay for all my riding and I know I can be great in this sport because I am already proving that! I always work hard on what I am taught and I take every opportunity to learn from guys older with more experience. I take practice days to have lessons and ride with people that I can learn from. I have a lot of guts and the drive to win. I can clear a 75 ft tabletop on my 65 at the Fossil Bowl and I only saw one other kid do it the whole summer. If you will sponsor me I will win! I will work hard, I will provide results, and I will also represent your company in a respectful and professional manner. Thank you for you time and consideration in sponsoring me!
Sincerely,
Daniel Jenkins
Riding Goals
I have several goals. First off, I was fortunate enough to buy a 2014 kx85 from one of the Kawi Team Green sponsored kids. My goal is to win on this bike and prove to my family how much I appreciate the opportunity that they are giving me.
I am also racing the Amsoil Arenacross in Spokane this coming April and it will be my first arenacross race. My goal is to prove that I am capable of success in the arena. I will be practicing my heart out so that I will be readly for this event.
My personal goal is to get more physically fit in this off-season. I borrowed a weight bench from a friend and have started running on the treadmill to build up my endurance
Another goal I have is to make it to some new tracks this year. I have plans to be practicing at Horn Rapids in Tri-Cities, Wa these next several months and I would like to also get to Airway Heights in Spokane. I think going to new tracks will help me build new skills and learn new strategies for being successful. I would also love to ride at washougal one day :)
Long term goals would of course include one day going to Loretta's and riding pro
Competitive Highlights
Clearing the 75 ft tabletop on my kx65 is definitely one of my highlights .... I got a lot of compliments on that!
Also taking first place for the season at Fossil Bowl in the 65 junior class. This was actually the first time I have ever raced a summer series. Prior to this I had only ever raced my local supercross races that they hold 3 times a year in my hometown.
I also took 2nd in the Idaho State Championship 2014
I was extremely proud of myself when I got my kx85 for the 2nd to last race of the season and actually got 1st place on it.
And I think it could be consider a highlight that I also jump the Creek Jump and go over Devil's Drop at Fossil Bowl on my kx65
I am excited to add more highlights to my career as well!!
