Personal History
I got a bit of a late start in motocross compared to some of the other riders out there but I've put in the hard work to become a better rider and it has really started to pay off in the last couple of years. I had a few injuries during the 2006 and 2007 seasons that slowed my progress but over the last few months I have been training and trying to get prepared for the indoor series coming up. I definitely would call myself a much better outdoor rider than indoor, but everything has its purpose and focusing on the more technical aspect of riding can only help my riding style for the outdoors. I've been an athlete for the better part of my entire life and have succeeded in many of the sports I competed in. I was a captain on the varsity soccer and golf teams during high school and have had some kind of part in many of the sports that are around in Ohio. I'm also a college student focusing on a major in Finance and carry a 4.0 gpa. Motocross is something that has always set me apart from the rest of the crowd and I take pride in that. It is something that I have a great time doing and will continue doing as long as I am able.
Riding Goals
The indoor arenacross series is coming up in northeastern Ohio in January which is something that I have never had the opportunity of doing. I would definitely like to be battling in the top 10 considering it is my first year, so my overall goal would be to finish at least tenth in overall points. For next year's outdoor season I'm really looking forward to getting some more podium finishes and securing a place in the top 3 at the end of the series.
Competitive Highlights
Competition has been a critical part to my life ever since the beginning. From athletics to academics I have always strived to be the best in the field, and that is what sets me apart. If I have a bad race then I spend the better part of the next week working on my speed and consistency. I am a smooth rider in general but I'm not afraid to get aggressive if the situation calls for it.
