Personal History
My name is Damon Maitland. I have been racing motocross since 2003 at the age of six. I live in Bigfork Montana. I am currently a Sophmore at Bigfork High School. I plan to make a career in racing. I am studying auto mechanics in school. I also have a job during the summer months as a mechanics assistant at a local golf club. I take care of all the maintenance and most of the repairs on my bikes. I have competed in Montana HCMA Series, Montana Westmont Series, Spokane Summer Supercross Series, and Spokane Motocross Series. I also like to hunt, fish, and play football.
Riding Goals
My goal for 2014 is to be competitive at a pro level before I turn 17 in July. I am looking forward to 2014 racing. I will be on new equipment for the first time since I was on a 65cc in 2005. I just bought a brand new KX250F. Coming off an 2005 KX250F, wow what a difference. I am excited for 2014 racing. I have the equipment. I am prepared physically. I am confident and I am having more fun on the bike than I ever have. My plan for 2014 is to race HCMA, Westmont, and some Summer Supercross in Spokane.
