Rider Updates

Sep 17 2011

Well in the great white north our series has come to a close, landing me in 4th overall in the Youth Pro/Am, and 8th overall in MX2 Intermediate (125 B Mod). This year certainly had its ups and downs between struggling to find time/suitable places to ride, as well as freak accidents on the track. I had 3rd overall at the WCAN in the 125 B Mod on the 2nd last lap but was battling hard for 2nd and when me and the other rider came together he unknowingly bent my rear brake lever into my clutch cover, i went over 3 more jumps after but when it came to a fast right hand berm i went for my rear brake and it was solid. The front brake alone wasnt enough to make the corner, and i wa catapulted off the berm into a drop off in the middle of the track. I managed to fracture my right heel, Shortly after i remounted for 16th place, later the pain was too much to be able to ride my next moto. Skipping ahead to the final round, where i had hoped to salvage a top 5 in the series, i had a front brake lockup in the deep mud at Whiteridge, AB. With only 1 moto being ran and then the race cancelled i had no way of regaining lost points. But somehow between all this mayhem i still managed to have a good time, and cant wait for next year. Moving on to the positive, I have finally saved my nickles and dimes long enough to sign up for my dream ride of 7 weeks at the infamous Millisaps Training Facility, i am hoping with their expertise and coaching to come back faster and with superior conditioning to my competition, and one day save up the funds to make it to an area and regional loretta lynns qualifier and reach my dream of racing at the famous ranch.

On behalf of myself and the Lethal Racing team I would like to thank our sponsors for their support this 2012 season.

Keep it wide open,

Dalton Young
