Personal History
Daiyaan Manuel is a 9-year-old British-Zimbabwean dazzling, passionate motocross aficionado and competitor currently residing in Harare, Zimbabwe. He began his motocross-racing career in March 2011 on a peewee bike. As a newcomer to the sport he brought excitement and infectious enthusiasm, quickly establishing a rapport with his fellow riders encouraging them to stand when riding, as he was the only one in his age group capable of doing this maneuver.
In his first race, he placed second last but was determined to improve and the results of his increased training and determination were evident by his third race, which he won. By the end of the season, Daiyaan was recognized and honored as the 2011 National Peewee Winner in Zimbabwe.
Daiyaan is the youngest rider on a 50cc and has continued to compete in the 50As, his placings ranging from 1st to 3rd. He has competed in numerous regional competitions in South Africa, Botswana and Zambia as he seeks to expand his racing repertoire.
Daiyaan enjoys riding because it is fun, fast and competitive and he loves winning trophies. He is not afraid to attack new challenges and to experience different tracks and does so with enthusiasm, determination and discipline. Even at this young age, he has the commitment and drive to excel beyond all expectations.
Riding Goals
He is going to continue in the 50cc support category and hopes to compete in more regional competitions and if the opportunity presents itself he would like to compete internationally. He is continually working to improve his riding and challenge himself. Daiyaan’s dream is to become a professional rider and compete with the best riders of the world.
