Personal History
I have been fortunate to be riding and racing dirt bikes for almost 35 years with great success as a jnr rider. After a legthly break due to my fathers health issues i restarted riding again in 2004 and since then managed to get back to winning ways.
2009, 2010 were pinnacle seasons for me as i represented Honda South Africa and Team Bad Boy Clothing which allowed me to be the senior rider in the group where i was team mates to riders like Wyatt Avis and Ross Branch ( 2019 Dakar Rookie of the Year)
in between that i started a family and my riding and racing dropped to a more fun level until 2018 when my kids starting riding and i once again started competing at the highest level in our country.
2019 was by far my best year of racing in my career as i set goals and went all out to achieve them. Having my fitness at the best condition ever i was able to achieve all my goals including the highest accolade one can recieve in South Africa , Protea National Colours
I was very fortunate to have some great brands support me and even more individuals as i competed all events as a non factory rider.
With Covid -19 pandemic ,we have not yet raced in 2020 but i have also found a new love within the sport and have started a Training Facility where i currently train 13 riders or all ages .

Riding Goals
Firstly , I believe that it needs to stay enjoyable, yes its tough and you need to dig deep but if you not having fun on your dirt bike then you in the wrong place.
Secondly, sportsmanship is very important. Look up and learn from faster and more experienced riders and never consider yourself better than anyone unless you are putting in every effort possible.
Thirdly, stay loyal to brands that offer support. Market where you can and offer assistance to others using the same brands.
