It’s been a slow year. A lot of rain here in North Texas. Tracks flooded, trails closed crazy weather. Racing the TORN +45 Int class series. After 3 races leading the series by 22 points. Not to bad. 1 more race before the summer break.
I also just raced the The Gutbuster 34 hr. +40 Ironman. Completed 15 laps mostly dry but the last 5 were pretty slippery. I ended up placing 3rd in the class. Hopefully one of these years it will be a dry one and I can really push for 24 hr

Decided to race moto today. Went to Burleson Mx Park. Raced the over 30 novice took home a 5th overall and raced the over 40 open and took home a 4th overall. Starts we’re good but track was really 1 lined. Every time I went to make a pass and got out of the main line I lost ground. Overall a good day. Gates were pretty full. 15 in the over 30 and 17 in the over 40. It was a great day to be outside finally. Thanks to my sponsors and family for their continued support.

Well another race day/night is over. Went to Freestone County Raceway and tried MX again and came away with a couple good results. Open Beginner 3rd overall. Tough night in the sand rollers. Hitting neutral a couple of times and falling over never helps. In the Vet 40C/D class, 1st overall. I kept pushing to the end. Thanks to Answer for the gear and Flow Vision for the googles. Tinted lense for the day races and clear for the night were perfect.
Bike prep tonight and getting everything ready for this weekend. Heading back to Nocona MX

Wow. I didn’t realize that I haven’t been on here in a few months. Racing had to take a back seat to life for a little while. However I’m back at it again. I have raced the last 2 weekends and did very well 6th place in the over 40 class of scramblecross along with a 1st place overall in the 450 beginner class Than races this past weekend at the Law Tigers Independence Day Pro Cup and came away with 1st place in both the 450D and Vet 40+ D classes Awesome weekend Stay tuned for more racing in the near future

GutBuster 24. What a race! It didn’t stop raining for atleast 24hrs before the race. Started over feet in the over 40 Ironman class. Pushing thru all the mud and water. I was really enjoying it. Pushed thru to the end of lap 3, started to get really bad out there. Can in for a drink and gas. Went back out for lap 4 and burnt up my clutch. Found one at another pit. Installed it and took off with helmet lights and light bar. Made it about an hour in and my helmet lights stopped working. The light bar got me thru the rest of the lap. Went to my pit and they cancelled the rest of the race. It was to dangerous out there. Ended up finishing 5th overall in the IronMan 40+ class.
Feb 23 2018
Already for The Gutbuster 24 race. Ironman 4o+ class. Light bar and helmet lights are ready. Riding the YZ450F It’s going to be a muddier. Toy hauler is all loaded. Leaving around 2 pm to get everything setup today and be ready for this race.
Feb 2 2018
Well had an okay race at Oakhill (TORO) with a 3rd place. Not a good weekend at Bonita (TORO). I crashed out during practice. This was an awesome trail/track setup with almost 14 mile loops. However when you case a big double and tear your calf muscle and can’t even stand out, there was nothing else to do nut pack it up for the weekend.
Dec 11 2017
Well there we have it. First TORO race done. 95 mins long. 7+ mile laps 4 laps completed. 3rd overall in my class “Heavy C”. What a great time. Practice was great on Saturday. Thanks to all my sponsors for their support. I had fresh Answer gear, Flow Vision Goggles and a new Twin Air air Filter to start out for Sunday’s race. The day started out cold at 27* but quickly warmed up and the race started around 9:30am. 3rd place start quickly moved into First and pulled a small gap. About 3/4 of the first lap I got passed for first but hung on to make a run a little later. The gap stayed the same until the last lap. I was pushing to make up the 20-30 seconds and had a small mishap. I ran into a tree and stalled. I got passed for 2nd and fell to 3rd. I quickly got restarted and took off after him but I got caught up with some slower riders. Still happy with a 3rd for my very first TORO race.
Time to train alittle harder and get ready for the next one at Oak Hill on Jan 6/7th.
Nov 28 2017
All signed up for TORO. Race Number. C122. Come on Dec 9/10. First time racing this series.
Nov 24 2017
Well they just posted the year end results and I finished 4th overall in both 250Novice and the over 40 class. Not to bad for not racing the last 27 years. Now time to change gears and get ready for TORO starting Dec 9/10. I’m racing the Heavy C class. This will give me the chance to race either bike depending on the course. Can’t wait to try this series out. It’s a 5 race series and the races last 95 minutes each. Thank you to all my sponsors for the last couple of months. Looking forward to working with you for the 2018 race season
Nov 12 2017

Racing in on for Tommorrow Both bikes are ready. Time to load and finish out the 2017 Scramblecross season.
Nov 6 2017
Well I'm ready for the this last race of the ScrambleCross series this Sunday. Oak Hill in Decatur. The 250f is all ready with new valves. 450 is all race prepped. Not sure how many classes. I will be definitely racing the 250 novice and the over 40 class. Not sure about the 450 beg class. With the 250 novice and over 40 I can finish out the year with top 5 in the series points. Thinking I should just save some energy and just SEND IT in those 2 classes.
Oct 29 2017
Well not bad of a day. 2nd overall in the 450 Beginner and 5th overall in the Over 40 class. Need to work on my starts. I have the speed but coming thru the pack isn’t any fun
Time for some new tires on the 450 and just waiting on the 250f to have the new valves installed.
Thanks to all my sponsors for supporting me
Oct 27 2017
Well it looks like I won't be racing the 250 Novice class this weekend. I need to have the valves replaced on the 2011 YZ250f. So just bringing the one bike 2014 YZ450f to race the 450 Beginner class and the over 40 class with. I'm just looking to improve from the last race's results and continue to move up to the top step of the box.

Racing was great yesterday at Askey Ranch for ScrambleCross. Weather was alittle cold to start but the sun came out and the track was awesome. Raced 3 classes 250 Novice, 450 Beginner and Over 40.
250 novice :I came away with 2nd Overall with 2 second place finishes. Lead 3 1/2 laps before getting passed but what an awesome race.
450 Beginner: Overall 3rd place with 2 third places. Didn't really know what to expect having never raced a 450 or this class. Really happy of my result.
Over 40: Overall 3rd place with a fourth and a third. Again really happy with not knowing how I would do a 450.
Can't wait for the next one in 2 weeks.
Oct 11 2017
I just picked up a 2014 Yamaha YZ450F to race the ScrambleCross over 40 class with. I was getting killed racing the 250f against the 450f. I'm ready to race!
