Personal History
Cory Ayers. In October of 1993, his wife bought him his first motorcycle for his 30th birthday, a new 1994 Honda CR250. He raced his first race in November of 1993. In 1994, he started competing in the novice class and before the year ended he was moved up to Amateur and then Expert. He ended his first year of racing with a #2 Plate in the Best in the Desert Over 30 Class and #3 in The MRAN Over 30 Class. He continued to race in the Expert class for the next few years and accumulated many Class wins and several year end Championships. In 1997, he raced the Over 30 Pro class in the Best In The Desert Series which he earned #2 plate. Challenging himself, he started racing the Ironman Expert class in Best In The Desert. He placed 1st in class in many races, as well as 1st Ironman Expert, 20th OA in Vegas To Reno in 1998, 1st Ironman Expert, 16th OA in 1999, and secured the #1 Plate Ironman Expert Championship both years. In 2000, he joined Husqvarna U.S.A. to race the B.I.T.D series including The Nevada 2000 on a Husqvarna TE-610. He placed 2nd Ironman Expert and 23rd OA. and won the #1 plate in the 2000 B.I.T.D Ironman Expert Class Championship. He also Finished 1st OA in a MRAN Hare Scrambles later on that year. He continued racing until 2005. He started racing again in 2017 and this year has Earned the #1 Plate in the AMA Dist. 35 Super Senior MRAN Desert Series and the AMA Dist. 35 Super Senior MRAN GP Series. He also raced and finished The Mint 400 Ironman in 2019.
Riding Goals
My goals would be to continue to finish in the top 3 in my class and finish all races that I have entered. I would also strive to continue to finish at least the top 25 overall in the race.
