Personal History
My name is Corey Fletcher
I have moved up to the Expert class in MRANN last year and achieved a 16th over all finish at the end of the year. This year I have been racing the National hare and hound series in which I am currently 1 in points in the 250 A class.
I am Type 1 diabetic but I don’t let that stop me from doing anything. I keep it under control. One of the things that I have to be careful of is getting a low blood sugar. Out of the years that I have been racing I have only had 1 time that I became Low.
I am a competitor when the race starts I am focused and race to the best of my ability. If things go wrong with my bike or I have a bad race I chalk it up to an experience and try to learn from it. I feel that my dad is a good influence on me. My dad does medical sweep for the races and has taught me that it is important to be considerate of other racers and still be competitive. If someone is hurt on the course, I have to make a decision to stop and help them or continue.
During a race it is very important to me to get a good start, to concentrate and be on the top of my game during the race. I get upset at myself when I don’t, so I try harder.
Next race year I am going to be racing the local MRANN(Motorcycle Racing Association Of Northern Nevada), National Hare and Hound series, some Endurocross events and try again to qualify for the ISDE.
I would like to representing MSR by wearing your gear, and by having MSR hard parts on my bike and having a great attitude towards my peer’s. The greatest way I can represent my sponsers is to thank you for your sponsorship on a podium. I appreciate your consideration for continued sponsorship
Riding Goals
My Goals: Compete and win on my KTM 250 gain more experience racing off-road, Motocross and desert.
Long term: To compete and podium in National Hare and Hound competition at an Expert level, National Enduro's, ISDE
