Personal History
My name is Conner Kocik and I am a 21 year old living in Austin,TX. I began racing Motorcross April of 2008 at Dade City MX which is where James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Tim Ferry, and Kyle Chisolm began their careers! I began a 2008 Yamaha PW50 in the beginner stock class last year and finished 14 or 21 rounds because of my late start. However I finished on the podium in 12 of the 14 rounds. I ended the season 9th in points out of 40+ riders even though we missed a third of the season.
I also competed in the 5 round Summer Series and finished 2nd! I love MX and have been to Daytona SX, Unadilla Outdoor National MX, and a few Arena Cross events. I love MX and practice 3X per week and usually race every Saturday somewhere in Florida.
I made my run at Loretta Lynn's and made my way through in the SE regional. However, to get more seat time I also went to Lake Whitney to compete in the South Central Regional and finished 7th even with bike problems! Ultimately, I went to Loretta's and finished in 20th despite multiplen crashes and learned a lot about riding in big gates with 42 riders and good competition.
Currently, I spend my time mountainbiking, snowmobiling, and snowboarding. I still maintain the skills I learned in Motorcross, and I am actively looking to get back on a bike when the time is right. In addition to my success in motorsports, I enjoy networking with companies that have supported me and continue to support me to this day, and I seek to be a trailblazer in revolutionizing extreme sports.
Riding Goals
My biggest goal as a rider is to reach Lorettas again, I have never failed to qualify, but due to inactivity, I will need to get more seat time and support to get back there.
My second goal is to break back into Motorcross, or another extreme sport I am proficient, and work with sponsors and their athletes to create something that inspires and transforms the landscape.
