Personal History
Hello, my name is Colton Phipps. I am 7 years old, and I'm in the 2nd grade at Cane Creek Elementary School in Cookeville, Tennessee. My favorite subjects are History and Science. I enjoy school very much and make the honor roll regularly. I also love the sport of motocross. 2013 was my first full season of racing, and what an exciting one it was. I was able to reach my goal of qualifying for Loretta Lynn's Amateur National Championship where I finished 17th overall. It was so fun! I had a 9th place finish in the 2nd moto, but crashes in the 1st and 3rd motos kept me out of the top ten. I have come a long way since my first race in 2012. I've made lots of new friends and learned a lot about racing and competing. My dad has taught me it's more important how you finish in life than on the track. My favorite rider is Ryan Dungey because he is smooth and consistent. I hope to be like him some day. In 2014 I'm moving up to the 50cc 7-8 class, and I'll be racing my new 2013 KTM SXS! I love it. It's so fast! I hope I can count on your support. I will always do my best to represent your product in a way that you'll be proud of, on and off the track. Riding Goals
For 2014 I want to be competitive at the big amateur races with consistent top ten finishes. I really want to make it back to the youth regional and get back to Loretta's. I also want to race the Spring Classic at Millcreek in AL. I love big tracks and want to compete regularly at Muddy Creek Raceway in TN. I'll continue to improve my speed and work on good technique . My dream would to be the 1st kid to win a Loretta's title on a KTM in the 7-8 class. I want to beat the Cobras. Just keep pushing myself to do better and have fun!
