Personal History
My name is Colton Conover and I'm a true motocross enthusiast. Im 7 years old and started riding 2 weeks before I was 3. It all started on a pw 50 with training wheels and that only lasted for a few weeks before they came off. I slowly progressed just riding in my yard with some small jumps. I continued at that pace until I was 5 a got a ktm 50 mini for my birthday. That's when my dad converted his motocross track into the ultimate mini bike track. I started going to real mx tracks and began to realize this sport is for me. In March of 2020 we bought a husqvarna tc 50 and that is the bike I was most comfortable with. We began to hit select races and competed in a mini track series at our local track, Pagoda Mx. I managed to finish 3rd overall in the 50 cc 4-6 oil injection class and 2nd overall in the 50cc 4-8 class. I'm a constantly growing boy so in November of 2020 we decided it was time to look to the future and start riding a ktm 65 we purchased. So far this season we have race every event except 1. I'm currently 9th overall in 65cc 7-9 and 12th overall in the 65cc 7-11 class. We are currently waiting for our 2022 husqvarna tc 65 to come in. I can't wait to line that up on the gate and finish the 2nd half of the season. On a final note I would like to thank my current sponsors. Fxr Racing, Dunlop Tires, Twin Air, Froman Excavating, and Citadel Constructors.
Riding Goals
Riding Goals For 2021/2022 Season
This year I hope to keep up with great results. My finishes get better every race I enter.
Next year I will be in second grade and I will need to keep my grades up so I can practice everyday and race on the weekends.
I will continue to play soccer, this year my team made it to the top bracket of the playoffs and we came up short for a second place overall. It's a great sport to help with motocross training.
I would also like to attempt to qualify for the Loretta Lynn's amateur national. No matter how it turns out it will be a great experience.
Competitive Highlights
My highlights from the 2020 season was going all in on the start of my racing career. I had some respectable finishes on my 50cc machines. My biggest highlight was finishing 2nd place overall at our mini track series on the big 50 and 3rd place overall on the 50 mini.
This season has been going great with the move up to the 65. Definitely full gates all the time and I find my self racing with kids that are also on 85's. My biggest accomplishment on the 65 was racing at sleepy hollow mx and finishing 6th in my first total mud race. I'm currently 9th in the 7-9 class and 12 th in the 7-11 class. We are half way through the season so I look to improve upon those results.
