Personal History
I got my first dirt bike at the age of 5 on Christmas morning, 2001. It was the sweetest 1977 JR 50 and I have been riding ever since. My family and I raced the Missouri vintage series for 8 years where I learned good sportsmanship and track etiquette. The last 2 years I have moved to the modern racing where I find the competition more challenging. I am a sophmore and currently carrying a 3.9 gpa, I participated in cross country and track. I am active in church and the youth group. My favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13 which says, " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Which I have found applies well to motocross and life. I am driven, motivated, and also have a never give up attitude. I don't stop until I reach the goals I have set for myself. I give my all, all of the time.
Riding Goals
For the upcoming year I plan to continue a training program with a trainer, i will also do some cycling and other things to raise my fitness level. I also plan on working on my riding technique with some riding coaches. I plan on racing the Missouri state motocross series, and also plan on trying for Loretta Lynns in 2014.
Competitive Highlights
In 2010 I placed 3rd in both supermini and 250 beginner in the Mid-West Spring Series. In the King of Kansas City summer series I placed 1st in the schoolboy 14-16 class. Branson Nationals I raced 250 novice stock class and finished 11th in the first moto and 19th in the second moto. I used this as motivation to make the run off races the next year.
In 2011 I raced the 250 novice class in the Mid-West Spring Series and finished 3rd overall. At Branson this year I raced 250 novice stock and mod. In stock I finished 6th and made it to the run off where I went down and finished 17th overall. In the mod class I finished 11th overall and made it to the run off where I again finished 17th but ran in 6th before a crash. I also won the schoolboy class in this years King of Kansas City summer series.
In 2012 i raced and rode more than i have in a summer. I raced in the Mid-West spring series and placed 3rd overall in schoolboy. I also raced in the Missouri State Championhip series. I placed 4th overall in 250 novice. I shouldve won the class bu i was involved in several first turn pileups. I also raced in schoolboy where I placed 7th. In the King of kansas city cummer series i won the schoolboy class by winning almost every round. To wrap up the season I raced at the Branson amateur national in 250 stk. novice i placed 3rd in my division and placed 9th overall in the chmpionship run off. In 250 mod. novice i placed 8th in my division and 13th overall.
IN 2013 i did more racing than i ever have and it was the most fun I've ever had on a dirt bike. I went to my Loretta Lynn's amateur area qualifier and placed 3rd in 250 c stock, 3rd in 250 c modified, and 5th in 450 c. I went to the regional where i didnt have the best of luck so i didnt qualify for lorettas but i had the speed to run up front. I am going to try for lorettas in 2014 and will hopefully qualify next year. My plans for this winter is to work out with a trainer and be able to start the 2014 season where I left off the 2013 season. I finished th Missouri State Championchips series with an Second overall in schoolboy, and was the 450 c champion for the season!!
