Personal History
My love for two wheels was inspired by my dad who grew up riding BMX bikes and dirtbikes. He bought me my first dirtbike, an xr50, that I started riding when I was 5 years old. My dad had me racing BMX at our local track at 7 years old. My family was always very close. My dad, younger brother and I would be on the track racing while my mom was on the sidelines cheering. Although I did not start racing dirtbikes until 2012, I was always riding after school or on the weekends when I wasn't racing bicycles. I race harescrambles all the time through highschool, then took a break through college, only racing one or two events a season. I earned two associates degrees after highschool and currently work a full time job as a master auto technician. When I'm not riding my dirtbike, I enjoy target shooting, riding my snowmobile and hanging out with friends.
Riding Goals
I like riding dirtbikes because it frees my mind and all I have to think about is the next obstacle in front of me. Coming off of a satisfactory 2022 racing season, my goals for 2023 include: Consistently finish on the podium, workout and train both on and off the bike, win my first race, and finish in the top 3 for 2023 point standings. Achieving these goals will give me the confidence and skills to move up to A class for 2024.
Competitive Highlights
The 2022 racing season was by far my best season to date. I raced all but one event, almost exclusively finishing in the top 10. Round 4 at Bluestone was the first time I finished on the podium (3rd) and was the motivating factor to race the whole season. Although I did not get another podium this season, my race results were consistent. I had a number of late season races where I ran in 2nd and 3rd for majority of the race, proving to myself that I can ride at a winning pace.
