Personal History

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to race motocross. My mom's answer was always no, until two years ago she finally said I could get a bike, as long as I bought it. I saved up all of my money for the summer as well as sold my fourwheeler and xbox, and bought an 02 YZ125. Since then, I have been spending every second I can on the bike. Every penny I get goes into the bike or something else related to motocross. Every weekend I am either at the sand pits, riding at a little track my friends and I made or I am at the track, practicing. I raced for the first time this past fall, and came in 12th, out of 19, which isn't too bad for my first time.

Riding Goals

I finally have my dirt bike where I want it; fresh motor, suspension set-up for my weight, and also it looks sharp. I have been preparing all summer to race, but sadly last summer I only was able to race once, because of an injury. Next summer, my family and I have set aside the dates for a few of the Spring Series races in the Maine Motocross Series and all of the races in the Fall Series. My goal is to be a top 10 rider in the couple of spring races, and in the fall, top 5.

Competitive Highlights

I raced for the fist time at a local track that I had only been to a handful of times. This is a track that sadly isn't on the list for the Maine Motocross Series next year becuase of it just not being tacken care of too well. I placed 12th out of 19 riders and didn't fall once during the two motos. I feel that I both met and exceeded my goals and expectations for my first every motocross race. I hope to do even better next year.
