Fall baseball ended last night with us losing in the semi finals.  Had a great season and now time to go play in some real dirt with wheels!!!  Start getting the bike ready this weekend as I am moving up to a 150R.  65cc is too small anymore and ready to get started on the new bike.  See you at the track some time soon.

Jun 1 2013

Had a good night back racing for first time since March.  Starts were terrible all night, but managed to finish 2nd in both of the 1st motos in the 65cc Novice and Open classes.  Won moto 2 of the Novice class to take the overall win.  2nd moto of the Open class was a little ruff.....another bad start and went down when a kid decided to hit the breaks before the first jump and down I went.  Knocked the air out of me and they had t red flag the race as I couldnt get up and the EMT's were checking me out.  Restarted, another bad start, but cruised around for a 3rd place finish and 2nd overall for the Open class.  All in all a good night!!!  Back for Rnd 3 on the 15th.  Thanks again to all my sponors.

May 30 2013

Back on the track today for the first time since March.........baseball is over until September!!!  Were back to racing one of our favorite series out at the arenacross in Taft, Ca.  Small track with no room for mistakes here.  Rode pratice tonight and been awhile since I have been on the bike.  Had a great baseball season and looking forward to some good racing this Saturday night.

Great weekend of father/son time traveling around the high desert racing.  First we went to Competative Edge for Rd 5 of the Trans World Muscle Milk series.  First time ever on this track and was a bit of a struggle.  Got 4 practice laps and then went for it.  Ended up 5th overall out of 12 kids in my 65 class.  Not a bad finish for first time there but got to ride with Cole Sealy and the rest of the Troy Lee Honda Team who is racing the local scene waiting for the Supercross West Lights Series to continue.  After the race we took off for Lancaster and AV Motoplex for Rd 1 of the Spring Series.  First moto's finished 3rd in the 65 9-11 and 4th in the 65 open.  Second moto of the age group got a poor start and battled up to 3rd.  Me another rider swapt the place couple times and on the last lap I passed him through the whoops, but we came up fast on a couple of lapped riders and I had no where to go......down I went and ended up 6th in the moto and 5th overall.  Second moto of the open class I was wore out but gutted out a 4th place to take 3rd overall for the day.  Not a bad run for the weekend and a lot of fun hanging out just me and Dad.  Even beat him in a two hour marathon monopoly game Saturday night!!!  Oh, all this was after baseball Friday night before we left and didnt get into Comp Edge until almost midnight.  Baseball opening day is next Saturday and leaving right after to catch Rd 2 of the Spring Series at AV Motoplex.  See you at the diamond or the track!!!!

Mar 1 2013

Been practicing the last month at Porterville MX getting ready for the spring series and Mammoth Qualifier on the 17th.  Working my riding in around baseball practice twice a week and my homework.  Got straight A's again last quarter.  Last scrimmage game tonight before baseball season starts next Saturday.  We are headed out to Competitive Edge tonight after the game to race tomorrow.  Saturday we will drive from there to Lancaster to ride the opening round of the Spring Series at AV Motoplex.  Next month will be busy with baseball every Saturday and races the next four Sundays.  Thanks to all my sponsors for supporting me and for my parents for putting in all the hours with me to be able to do this every weekend.  See you at the track!!!

Dec 2 2012

AVmotoplex round 5 today and finally back to racing.  Baseball finished two weeks ago and first time racing since August.  Practiced last week one day at Porterville and rode at AV yesterday.  Got off to ruff start today with a big crash in morning practice.  Got way out of shape in the whoops and pitched off hard.  Broke my visor on my helmet and my goggles.  Finished first in the moto 1 of the 65cc 9-11.  Last lap my shifter lever started coming off but it hung on until race was over and i got off the track.  Had to pull out of the 65cc open as we didnt have enough time to get the shifter fixed.  Nobody had another shifter so Dad made it work so I could make moto 2.  Had a great battle all the way to the finish line taking second by about a half a bike length.  All in all a great day and finished 1st overall.  Feels great to be back riding again.  Thank you to all my sponors for picking me up again for next season!!!

Jun 30 2012

First moto of the 65 novice class got a poor start and was in the middle of the pack going into the corner.  We got all bunched up and I pushed another rider wide as I got pushed into another haybale and went down.  Two weeks in a row that hay has jumped out and got me!!!  Struggled all night with my starts and with only five laps on the small track it made for a long night.  Ended up 4th in the novice and 6th in the open class.  Just one of those nights, but did better in the last moto so got it figured out for the next round.

Jun 16 2012

Good night of racing.  Finished 2nd in the first moto of the novice and open classes.  Took 3rd in second moto of novice for a 3rd place overall.  After hitting the haybale in the second moto kind of killed me.  Ended up 4th overall for the open class.

Jun 2 2012

Glad the arenacross series has started as this is really a fun event for the summer.  Wish I would have ridden better but this is a 6 round series and this is only round 1.  Struggled with my starts all night and had not been on the bike since CalCity.  Looking forward to practice next week, they only let you on this track the Thursday prior to race weekend.

Apr 22 2012

Raced in the 10-12 65cc class as I got an automatic win in the 7-9 class as I was the only one there.  First moto took a 2nd and then a 3rd in the second moto.  Was really hot out in California City.  Looking forward to the next race and hopefully not so hot.  Did not run in the 65cc open as the heat was just too much.

Feb 12 2012

Qualifying went better and came in 4th.  Got a bad start in the main event and ended up 6th.  Dad said I was racing nice and not block passing.  Watched the video after and figured out better block next time as I got pushed around a bit.  It was a fun day and even got to race Saturday night while the pro's were running.  After the first heat races for the AX Lites class we ran a 4 lap 65cc race.  Qualified 10th and had to start in the back row and got tangled up in the first corner with 3 other kids.  Needless to say it was not a good finish but it was a lot of fun riding in front of 6000 plus people in the Save Mart Center.

Oct 23 2011

First moto of the 65 cc 9-11 class and I took the hole shot, but as we entered the second corner I got pushed wide and went off the track.  Got back on in last place and came back to finish 3rd.  First moto of the open class and after a so so start was in 3rd when I got passed.  I caught the rider in the next corner and went low when he went high.  We came to the step up side by side and went into the next table top double wheel to wheel.  I stayed on the gas and came up short in the soft stuff on the edge of the jump and went flying over the bars.  My dad said he saw me take off and didnt see the landing but knew it was bad because he saw the bike flipping through the air.  Took a DNF in that one!!!  Second moto of the age group and was in 3rd when I went high and another kid went low.......we met up out of the corner and he hit my front tire with his rear and washed out the front end of my back.  It was a sweet block move he put on me and after not riding for so long just didnt see it coming.  Ended up 4th and a 4th place over all.  Didnt run the second moto of the open as we had to get home by six and it was way slow today due to the costume race at the brake and a couple of riders going out by ambulance.......hope they are fine and ready to ride again in two weeks.  Overall was a bit frustrating but Dad and Lori were proud of me for gutting it out when it was not going well and for putting in good rides after the long layoff.  Ready to go again in two weeks and looking for a better result.  Thanks to all my sponsors for re-uping me for the next season even with the long layoff.  Was a great summer and looking forward to the winter and hitting lots of tracks. My love to my great grandmother Mimi who passed away on Saturday in Susuin, CA.  We all will miss you but know you are in a better place.

Sep 18 2011

Spent time at the lake and have been playing football for the past couple of months.  We are 2-0 and been crushing teams having only given up one TD in 2 games.  Looking forward to the cooler weather coming and getting back on the bike.  Killing me just seeing it sitting in the garage!!!!  Dad sold my 50 so it is all 65 this year and racing multiple classes.  Thanks to all my sponors who have renewed for the upcomming season and the new offers I have received even after taking the summer off.  Looking forward to getting back to the track.  See you at a track some where soon.

Apr 24 2011

Went out for the first moto of the 65 beg class and had a great race going back and forth for the lead.  We changed the lead four times in a five lap race and checked out on the rest of the field.  I got the last pass and took the moto win.  Moto 2 was going just like moto 1 and we were at it again and gone from the field............until I ate it going over a double.  Came out of the corner and the bike got sideways as I went up the face of the jump and it was not pretty.  Dad said the announcer immediately began yelling to get the  medical team over to me and the crowd let out a big gasp.  Dad and the kid's dad I was batteling with got the bike off me, checked me out and got me back on the track to a 3rd place finish and 2nd place overall.

I raced the 65 open as well and took home a 4th overall as I was 3rd in moto 1 and 4th in moto 2 which ran one race after landing on my head from that double.  I came off the track and was trying to get my chin cleaned up but only had one race between my runs and Dad said it was up to me if I went out for moto 2 of the open.  Got done and Dad said it didnt matter where I finished as I got back out there and gave it my best.  Another good weekend at the track and a few more lessons learned.  Thanks to all the sponsers who help us out and make it all possible.

Mar 27 2011

Good day of racing at CalCity MX.  This is only the third race on my 65 and first time raced int he open class.  Took 2nd and 3rd in the motos of the 65 open and finished 2nd overall.  Winner was 11 years old and has riden a 65 for over 2 years.  There were 5 kids in our group so 2nd overall was a good day for the first run in the open.  Raced 65 beg (6-11) and won both motos.  Actually, won the first moto by about 3/4 of a lap and the second by about 1/2 lap (fell in last corner.......ooooopppps).  Was a great day and had a lot of fun riding and my grand parents came for the weekend to watch me.  Thanks again to all my sponors who help us be able to do this.  Heading back to Lancaster in two weeks to run again!!!!

Mar 13 2011

First moto on the 65 ended up 5th overall, but 1st in my age group.  I finished ahead of over half of the older kids who were racing in the same moto.  This is my first moto win on the 65 and only my second time racing the bike.  Second moto I finished 4th overall and won my age group again to take the overall for the day.  Ran my 50 in my age group as well and finished 3rd and 2nd in the two motos.  Riding the 50 is just not as fun now I am on the 65.  Bike just wont rail through the corners like the 65.  Think I will just run the 65 classes from here on out.  Thanks again to all of my sponsors for helping me with both bikes.

Feb 27 2011

Road to Mammoth Qualifier by Monster Energy was a lot of fun and we got great pictures of me riding with the Monster Energy logos in the background.  This was my first race on the 65cc and finished 4th in both motos.  Still learning the gears and clutch, but getting better each time out.  This was only my second time on the track with the bike.  The 50cc is invitation only for Mammoth Mountain and I finished 2nd in both motos.  Should have won both but went down in both motos.  This was my first race since summer and each time finished right on the back tire of the leader.  It was a good day and happy to be back out racing again.  Heading out to California City MX in two weeks for the opening round of the spring series.  Thanks again to all of my sponsors and see you at the track.

Feb 4 2011

Got a new KTM 65 for Christmas and been out riding and learning how to use a clutch.  Spent a few weekends in the desert just riding with my family and getting some track time.  Still learning what gear to be in for the corners and jumps, but I am getting there.  Really looking forward to the racing season starting next month as I will begin at Cal City MX Park for their spring series.  Might still run the 50 a few times but really love riding the 65.  Thank you to all of my sponsors who help me be able to do this.  Just missed straight A's last quarter, got one B+, so we are ready to run.  Dad won't accept any C's and I am excited to get going for the season.

Jul 31 2010

Night started with me jumping the gate in first moto of the night and having to battle from last place to finish 3rd.  Next moto was the open class and sure enough got hung up in the gate again, but only managed to get an 8th place finish.  Dad walked over to help another kid's father with a clutch issue and we came back by the starting line he was messing with me about the gates.  Dad said something about you see those things over there?  They fall towards your bike and if we needed to stand there and stare at them for a while.  Dad said it was ok and just go out and run your next to races like it never happened.  2nd moto of each class was better!!!  Got a decent start in my age group races and ended up second for a 3rd place overall.  Took the holeshot in the open and was way out in front when I went down in a corner.  Got back up in 3rd and ended up finishing 2nd; 5th overall for the night.  One more round to go and I am solidly in 2nd place overall in both classes.  Was 4 points back starting the night in the open class, but with the gate issues and all ended up 8 points out of the lead.  Have my work cut out for me in the final round, but for this being the only series I have ever run the entire thing sitting where I am at is very good and Dad is very proud of me.  Dad says there are going to be races like this and even through the hard times I kept pushing as hard as I could and that is what matters.

Jul 17 2010

Took the hole shot in both races of the 7-9 50cc classes.  Finished 2nd in the first moto as I went down in the last corner.  Won the second moto and took 1st for the overall.  Came out 2nd fron the gate in the first moto of the open class and ended up 3rd.  The last race of the night was the second moto of the open class and by this time I was wiped out from the heat.  Dad said I did not have to run the moto as my head was pounding, but I wanted to run to maintain my position in the points.  Really was not feeling it but went and gutter out a 4th place finish and ended 4th for the night.  Cost me 2 points in the overall for the open class, but remained in 2nd and now 4 points out of the lead.  The win in my age group maintained my 2nd position and brought me closer to the leader.  All in all it was a great night even with the weather feeling like it was going to fry your skin!!!  Two races left in the series and sitting in a good position for the finish.

Jun 26 2010

The night started off bad as the KTM clutch got me on the starting gate in the first moto of the 7-10 class.  Hit the throtle and nothing when the gate dropped.  Finally kicked in and nursed it around the track for a 4th place finish out of 8........not bad for a broken bike!!!  Dad and a couple of the other dads did a quick clutch change between my motos and got me out for the first moto of the open.  Got my first holeshot and was way out front when 4 or 5 kids piled up in the 3rd corner and they red flagged the race.  Restarted and got the holeshot again and led wire to wire for my first moto win in the open class.  Moto 2 of the 7-10 I went down in the 2nd corner and went all the way to the back.  I came back to finish 3rd to lock up 3rd place overall for the night.  Moto 2 of the open came out of the gate 2nd and was going at it with the leader and went down on lap 3.  This was the start of a bad 3 laps as I went down 3 more times and ended up 5th.  I kept getting up a coming back but just could not make up for all of the falls.  The track got really slick and I just didnt slow down enough in the corners, but I was trying my hardest to catch back up and Dad says that is all that matters.  Salvaged a 3rd place overall in the open due to my winning the 1st moto.  All in all it was a good night of racing and I made up ground in the standings.  Moved from 3rd to 2nd in the standings in the 7-10 and still sitting in 2nd in the open class but I made up points on the leader and only sitting 2 points out of the lead with 3 races to go.

Jun 12 2010

In the two motos of the 7-10 year olds I finished 3rd and 2nd.  Had not ridden since Round 1 of this series and had good night.  The second race in my age group I put on a very sweet inside block move and squared up the kid in second place.  We got a little tangled up, but neither of us went down and I was able to make the pass to finish 2nd in the moto.

In the open class had a decent ride in the first moto finishing 4th, but came on in the second moto for a 2nd place.  Got a great start in the second moto and made a pass into 2nd on the third lap.  I was not able to track down the leader as I just ran out of laps.  Tough to make up a lot of ground in a 6 lap race on a very short arena track.  2nd place overall in the open class out of eleven kids is a good nights work and it ended just in time as my motor started sputtering as I was coming off the track.  Dad says the carb needs to be cleaned and then we are ready for Round 3.

May 23 2010

Firt moto in the 7-10 class and I wheeled out the gate and came off the back of the bike.  Gave everyone about a quarter lap head start with that move, but I battled back and finished 2nd in the moto.  First moto of the open class and had a decent ride finishing 3rd.  Second moto's I finished 3rd in the 7-10 and 4th the open.  The open class I got a good start (4th out the gate) and went into third going into the second corner, but got tangled up trying to pass for 3rd and went down.  Went to last place but again battled back to finish in 4th.  It was a good night and lots of fun.  Thank you to all of my sponsors for helping me out with the bike and I continue to learn each time out.

Apr 25 2010

Rode three really good practice sessions on Saturday in preparation for todays race.  Bike was awsome on Saturday and then all fell apart Sunday morning.  Unloaded the bike and all was good until it was time for my warm up session prior to motos getting started.  Clutch immediately started to slip and bike wouldnt move.  Dad got it going for me to get to the line for practice and two corners in the clutch went.  Dad had to push the bike off the track.  Got it home and put a new clutch in it; Dad had one ready due to history he has heard of with the KTM clutches.  We changed out the clutch, re-did the washers for my setup and put in a new clutch basket.  Need more washers and a new kicker sleeve and I will be back on the track!!!  Still looking for more sponsors, but would like to thank O'neal MX, TwinAir and Martin & Slater Motorcycle Company for their recent support.  See you on the track!!!!

Apr 11 2010

April 11, 2010, first time ever at Honolulu Hills Raceway and I won the event.  This is my fourth race ever and I have two 1st place finishes, a 2nd and a 3rd.  I finished 2nd in the first moto after crashing twice and won the second moto.  I went down once in the second moto but battled back and caught and passed the leader of my age bracket (7-10).  There were 11 kids on the track between the two age groups and I finished 5 and 3 overall in the two motos.  We had to take the photo with my trophy in the motor home as the winds came up and there were 60 mph gusts!!!
