Personal History

Update: I have been voted on and am a full member of the HVFD. Passed my EVOC class and going to Firefighter 1 Classes now. Also in my first year of college at DCC.

Update: I am now a member of the Hurt Volunteer Fire Dept. as a junior memeber until I turn 18 in a few months.

I began riding MX only 2 years ago at age 15. I spent most of my younger years playing baseball in Dixie and Little league. Starting MX at 15 is tough and the learning curve is steep, but I have loved every minute of it. I am currently a Senior at Gretna Senior High School and studying engineering at the Pittsylvania Co. Vo. Tech program. I plan to attend college this fall and study engineering or precision machining. I live at home with my mom and dad and sister. We have a great time camping, boating, and racing. My dad has started racing the Vet classes and my 15 yr. old sister is riding now to. My mom spends practice days and race day taking thousands of pictures. We race with 3 of my cousins and 4 other friends that we call the Motley Cruw MX team. We live a small comunity called Motely, thus the name of the team. I love spending the weekend at a track camping with my family and my aunts family. The fact that we race with our friends is what makes MX fun for me.

Riding Goals

Like I said before, starting out at 15 is tough and the curve is steep. I hope to move up and be more competitive in 250 C this year. I would like to quilify for a LLQ in the next few years. This year will be busy with graduation and college but I hope to run 10-15 races in VA-NC. I may even try a hare scramble in the VCHSS with my dad and uncle.

Competitive Highlights

My first year in Birch Creek Supercross I took 3rd for the season. I was leading the points when a practice crash broke both collar bones. In my first race back I wrecked in the heat and re-broke one collar bone. I was able to come back for the last race and salvage 3rd for the year. That was a tough season trying to recover and keep racing for the points and I am proud of being able to accomplish that. This year we competed at the Birch Creek LLQ area qualifer and I took 3rd in Open D and that was pretty special to.

I went 1-1 at the NCMP LLQ in 250D, it was my first Moto Win and First overall win at a national level track.
