Personal History
My name is Colby Gray, I am 16 years old from Federal Way, WA. I started riding off and on when i was about ten. My first time on a track was the summer of 06'. I immediatly started racing, but i still didnt ride or race very much. starting June of 08' I really got into it more and was able to move up to the junior class. From june I attended one Big race-washougal amateur nationals, a few local races, and some region arenacross races. So i still didnt "race" too much. I am a very hard working and determined rider. I love to have fun, but most of all i love to ride my bike. I freeride at many sand dune locations along the west coast. I trail ride at a few local spots. and i also race locally, regionally, and nationally. To Be honest, I have not raced as much as most other kids out there racing, I am just now starting to get into it more and race every weekend. Many people have told me "i wanna see what you can do when you get the seat time that alot of other kids at your level have". In the last months of 2008 i would go train or race mabe two to three weeks apart. One of the kids dads out there, who travels all over the country to race, came and talked to me. he said i was one of the only kids that wasnt atleast a top intermediate that he has seen ride the best he has ever ridin, then go out atleast two weeks later and go ride even better. I am constantly improving. This season I am going to be on my bike a minimum of 4 days a week, and i will be traveling to big races in more than just washington state. There have also been many times i trained with intermediate level guys and have been able to keep up with them. I am giving it my 120% to be the best I can be on a bike, i want it more than anything and anyone.
Riding Goals
- Qualify for Loretta Lynns
- Top 5 at Lorretta Lynns
- Win the amateur National in atleast the 250C class
- Move up to intermediat/"B" class
- Win a Regional series, like the pacific northwest championship series
