Personal History
My name is Colby Price and I'm 12 years old. I live in Point Pleasant, WV. I started racing in May of 2014 on my 2007 Honda CRF 80 in the beginner class and in the trail bike class. I then talked my parents into buying me a 2 stroke KTM. When I got it I attended camp at Doublin Gap in Pennsylvania were I met some really great racers. This camp inspired me to want be a better rider. I tried a GP race at Fasttraxx in Ohio and I really liked it so I've done more this season. I just got a sweet new 2016 Husquvarna TC85 that I'm paying for by mowing grass. I have a younger brother that races now. I try to teach him what I know but I'm still learning all the time. I have gotten a lot better in only a couple years of racing but I am learning and improving all the time. I love going to the track. When I ride I feel free and I love hanging out with all the other riders.
When I'm not riding I love riding my Trek Mountain bike. I also wrestle. I have won the state championship twice and also the Ohio Tournament of Champions (the largest one day tournament in the world) twice also.
Riding Goals
My goals as a rider is to keep having fun, keep getting better, and to always ride my best. This year I would like to win the point series at my local track in the 85 Jr and place in the top 3 at the Fasttraxx GP 85 Jr series. This winter I would like to finish in the top 2 in the WV Indoor Championships. I would like to keep training and eventually qualify to race at Loretta's.
Competitive Highlights
I'm still a beginning racer. I have been racing a 2-stroke for exactly 1 year now. Last year at the 4th of July race at Fasttraxx I was lapped twice in the 85 Beginner race and this year I was able to place first. I try to stay focused on all my improvements. It was exciting the first time that I jumped the catapult at Mason Mx.
