Personal History

My name is Cody Nye and I am 9 years old. I started riding when I was 6 years old. I had been watching Arenacross, Supercross and Motocross on TV and had told my parents that's what I want to do. So, they decided to take me to a local track where some people we know ride and wanted to make sure that I knew what I was getting myself into.  Needless to say, I asked them when I was getting a bike to race. Few weeks went by and BAM! they brought home a Kawasaki KX65, best bike by far to ride. Before I got into motocross racing, I wrestled for my school and qualified to particpate in the State Championships 2 years running. I also like to go with my Dad and play Paintball. Paintball and Motocross are alike in one category...you have the battle scars to prove that you have what it takes to have braggin' rights.

Riding Goals

I hope to run more of the State Series Races and travel to other various tracks and get the experience I need to become the best rider I can be. I want to improve my fitness and riding ability to make that happen. My goal is to win all that I can and have fun at doing it!

Competitive Highlights

I participated in the 2007 Gold Rush Cross Country Grand Prix & SuperMoto Race and took 3rd Place Overall out of 20+ riders. That was definitely a rush for me, as track has variety of terrain. It was an enlightening experience to see how well I would do for my first time at participating in such a large event. While racing Arenacross for first time, that was great. I got to meet "Cowboy" Kenny Bartrum face to face and he signed my jersey. While racing the track at Arenacross, all the lights had went out in the building and the announcer was trying to keep all those calm while trying to get all the bikes that were on the track to just shut down right where they were. Chaotic...but it was handled smoothly and lights came back on and we continued to race. Whew...close one!
