Short/Long Term Goals

My short term goal is to train hard and to qualify in March 2013 for Loretta Lynn Regional's .  I will work hard to qualify in Area and Regionals this year and to be within the top 10 in the mains and hopefully win my first National Title at Loretta's!  This year I will race Mammoth, Oak Hill, Freestone & Loretta's Dodge for top finishes.  My long term goals will focus on amateur nationals working towards the pro level in the next three years, at 18 advance professionally to Supercross and Outdoor Nationals.

Accomplishments

Qualified for Loretta's for the regional in the South Central and South West region.  At Underground I qualified with a 1st, 2nd, and 4th.  At the ranch in California I qualified with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  At the Freestone JS7 national I won a title in the 450 C Stock and got 2nds, and 3rds in the other classes.  At Oak Hill I finished on the podium with 2nds, and 3rds in the c class with multiple moto wins.  Recenlty I qualified for Mammoth in Boise Idaho and won every moto in every class I signed up for and this past weekend (June 2&3rd) I went to the Southern Regionals for Loretta Lynn's at Freestone in Texas and qualified in all 3 classes with a 1st in 250 Mod, and a 3rd in both 250 Stock and the 450 class.  I went to Loretta Nationals in 2012 and got 3rd overall in the 250 Mod and 19th in the 450.

Training Experience

I practice as much as I can when I'm home on my track my father built on our Washington property.  I have completed Eric Waunch Motocross School, Steffy MX School, Shannon Niday MX Schools and a month of training at Niday's House/complex in Sanger Texas.  I even got to train at Trey Canard's house in Oklahoma 2 years ago.  Last year I had mechanic/trainer Lupe Aguayo in Arizona for 6 months before returning to Shannon Niday.  I Spent most of January and February of 2012 with him, I trained in Texas with Shannon Niday and was there until Loretta's to improve my riding ability and experience in hopes of a National title at Loretta's.  I learned a lot from riding technique, eating right and working out each and every day.  I use what I have learned to focus on a serious future in the racing industry and as a racer and spokesperson to sponsors I represent.  I now train at J Whipple MX School here in Washington and will head to S. California after the first of the year to further focus on training.

Academics

I am currently a Sophmore and attend WAVA/K12 online school.  Last year while still in public school I was awarded for honor roll at the end of the year.  My grades are very important to me and my parents and so it is a continual balance between school work, training and riding.  I know that if I don't have good grades I don't get to ride and so I work very hard!

My Family

I have the best family ever!  My dad is my Rock and does everything and anything to make sure that I make it to all races, whether its running to get new parts, fix old parts, driving 10 hours straight, running to get trick gas my dad does it all.  He is my biggest supporter along with my Papa Weiler.  When my dads out of town on business my Papa will take me to the races and make sure everything is okay.  He tries to be at every race and I so appreciate it.  My sisters are probably my next biggest fans, Taya 13 and Trista 10 are usually on the sideline cheering me on.  My littlest sister had a sweatshirt made in hot pink with my numbers and "Cody's Sister" written on it.  My mom is a big supporter too, but has a really hard time coming to the races because she doesn't like the dropping of the gate (hole shot) and now that I'm super fast she worries a lot!  My grandmas & papas, and uncle & aunts and good friends try to make it to the races as much as possible, but its getting more difficult because the races are further away now!

My Attitude/Sportsmanship

I have a positive attitude, I am never thinking negative. I will always come off the track happy and I am always the nice guy off the track, win or lose, I will tell the guy behind me or in front of me, “good job”, “nice race”, and at the starting gate “good luck”, but on the track its race time. There are the peaks and the valleys, one day your doing awesome and at top of the peak and sometimes your not doing so good and your down in the valleys and its that way with everyone. Also after every race I say “thank you Jesus”.  Motocross is what I do, what I love and what I am most passionate about!  You can find my vision board on my wall in my room with numerous pictures (my mom and I cut out my face and put on Bubba Stewart's body crossing the finish line) and I have sayings that say, "I can, I will, Thank you Jesus!"  The power of positive thinking, goal setting is huge in our entire family!

Hobbies

Besides riding, I go hunting and fishing with my dad a lot.  I like to hang out with friends, and also I like to go snowboarding, wakeboarding, surfing and snowmobiling.
