Personal History
My name is Cody Coffey. I just turned 15 & recently moved up to a 250 from an 85 & supermini so I am really training hard & looking forward to the new year. I am an honor roll student at Dickson High School & have been on the honor roll my entire life. I also am in several advanced classes & play on the high school baseball team. I am a Potowotomi Indian & proud of my heritage. I am the youngest of five children & have 2 nieces & 2 nephews. I work my my nephew Kysen who is 3 on his Honda 50 and can't wait until he starts racing. Also I work with several mini riders that live near us at my home track, I just love the MX sport!! I love to hunt also. I train hard every day & am dedicated to my health, training and racing. Alot of kids at my school don't understand how I can be so dedicated but I am, this is what I want to do and what I want as a future! I appreciate all the my family does to support me, especially my parents. The spending extra time with them at races really means alot to me & has made us a very close family. People don't realize what a family sport MX really is and it means so much to me to have my family there supporting me & cheering me on!
Riding Goals
My goal for the upcoming year is to become a strong rider on my new 2011 KX250 & to race several series races in Oklahoma & Texas. Hopefully the year goes right & I will be able to compete again at Ponca City Nationals & Loretta Lynns in the 250 Novice class.
Competitive Highlights
I have been racing MX for the last 2 years and raced XC for 2 years prior to that. The first year I ever rode I raced cross country in OCCRA, I was 11and raced in mini quad A class & won state championship. My second year to race I raced the youth long course quads & 65A bikes & won state championship titles in both classes & also won the most improved youth rider of the year ( which really meant alot to me & my family!) I raced 85A & youth long couse on a CRF150R & won 2nd place state titles in both classes. I also started riding MX in 2009 and have won several series races in Texas & Oklahoma. I also competed in Ponca City Nationals & Branson National last year & did well in both.
