Personal History
My name is Cody Arlet and I'm 16 years old from Pittsburgh, Pa. I've been involved with racing motocross since about 10 years old and have loved it ever since. I've come a long way over the past few years from being on 85s to now riding 250s and 450s. I've competed in several local races and also have been to many amateur nationals such as Mini Os, Loretta Lynns, Daytona, and Millcreek. I train for racing by riding every opportunity I get and by going to the gym about four days a week. In my free time when I'm not racing I like to snowboard, hunt, and ride my mountain bike. I've always been attending public school also. Honestly there is nothing else I'd rather be doing than racing motocross just because of how awesome the sport is.
Riding Goals
I have many goals for the upcoming 2014 motocross racing season. This year I will be competing in all the B classes on both the 250 and 450. One of my goals is to be one of the fastest B riders locally. My biggest goal is definitely to make it past qualifiers and regionals to Loretta Lynns for the second year in a row. I qualified for Lorettas last year but unfortunately ended my week quickly due to an injury in the very first moto of the week. I would definitely like to avoid all injuries as possible as I've had a few unfortunate ones from racing in the past. At Lorettas two goals I'd work for would be hole shots and placing top ten finishes in my classes. As long as I train hard to be both physically and mentally strong I believe I can accomplish all of my goals for 2014.
Competitive Highlights
In 2013 I made it Loretta Lynns for the very first time in my life qualifying at the Budds Creek Regional in the 250 C modified class. I placed top tens in pretty much all of my classes in both motocross and supercross at the 2013 National Mini Winter Olympics in Florida. I've received many trophies and rewards for good results and finishes in my local racing series over the past few years I've been involved in racing.
