Personal History
Fairly new to motocross after having played competitive Football for almost 24 years. I'm an analyst by nature and in my job, and as such have caught on fairly quickly having won the Open Beginner class in my first year, and placing 3rd in Vet Beginner in the same year. Since having been promoted to Vet Junior class, I've won several motos, and but for some unfortunate injuries mid-season last year, expected to win the class last year; as it happened I finished 4th in the series.
In 'real life' I'm a professional logistician and father of a 15 year old who aspires to qualify for a national in the next few years. (His profile is pending).
Riding Goals
First and foremost to improve and stay injury free; this is a chicken and egg conversation.
This year I intend to come out of the gate swinging and win Vet Junior in the first of three 7-race series; this will cause me to be promoted into the Vet Intermediate class where I can compete with my brother-in-law. Based on lap-times from last year it isn't a stretch that by the Fall series he and I could find ourselves battling for podiums. :)
Competitive Highlights
Winning and placing 3rd in the open and vet beginner classes in year 1 was a thrill. Travelling to Michigan to compete in the Baja Brawl and placing 9th in my class was also a pretty big thrill and I look forward to doing some damage there in 2015.
