Personal History

Currently stationed in Okinawa Japan with the US Air Force. Picked up a 2006 KX250F in July after another friend of mine seen a bike on base. Both of us had a bike within a few weeks and have been out every week including competing in our first race on 29 September. We developed a Facebook group OkinawaMX aimed towards riders in the Okinawa area and have grown from 3 member to 17 in the past 2 months. Members range from active duty from each service (Army, AF and MC) to retired and DOD contractors. We currently advertise in the local classifieds, post GoPro footage on You Tube from multiple riders, and manage the Facebook group to help get information out to those that may be interested but unaware of the opportunities (like we were for our first 3 years stationed here!).

UPDATE 31 Jan 2014

Notified of assignment to North Carolina Summer of 2014. Purchased 2012 KX250F and will be competing in the Okinawa area until i leave for the states. Okinawa Motocross has now grown to over 40 Members and continues to help newcomers get on a bike and involved in the local community.
