Personal History
I started racing when I was 14 on an 02’ CR125r in a beginner class at a local arena course. I advanced to B class within 1 season however my career was cut short after a really bad accident that left me immobile for a few months. I lost interest in the sport because I lost my support from my parents who were funding me. I also blew up my bike about 6 months later practicing and my parents refused to fix it.
Fast forward to age 30 and my 3 sons are helping my wife and I move and they stumble upon my old racing trophies. Within a few weeks they were all signed up for their first race and when the gate dropped for the first time my love and passion for the sport came flooding back in. It was actually sort of emotional for me.
The very next race was my first career race in almost 15 years, I started out in novice class. I finished out the season achieving 5th overall in the championship for 2023. This year, 2024, I came in 1st place overall. Next year I am moving up in class to make room for other riders to advance and have a shot at the championship.
I honestly cannot wait to see what the future holds for my kids and I. My middle son already wants to try and go for Loretta’s. I can’t wait. It’s going to be amazing.
