Personal History

My name is Christopher James Norton, Im 28 and live in Colorado Springs Colorado. I have been racing for two years now and love it. I wear ONE Industries gear because its an amazing fit and my friend and mentor Derek Ballew recomended it to me. He is the number one Vet Pro in Colorado for SRAC and AMA District 25. I am new to racing but have learned alot in the two years I have been riding. I had a nasty wreck that left me bed ridden for a month but it just made me want to ride that much more. I know about dedication, I served in the Army for seven and a half years and did three combat tours in Iraq. I have seen the good and the bad that man has to offer. I know to never give up and that tomorrow is another day. I was always among the best in my military schools and have been applying that to riding. I pay attention to detail and the information provided to me from Derek and others at the track. I am also in college here in the springs, my major is Outdoor Leadership. i plan to get on with Search and Rescue with the forest service. I love the outdoors my friends and my bikes. Motocross and Supercross have become my new adrenalin since I am no longer in the military and kicking doors in and putting my boots in the butts of those who appose us.

Riding Goals

I plan on being in the top five in AMA District 25 450 Novice, Open Novice, SRAC 450 Novice, Open Novice and RMXA 450 Novice, Open Novice. I will be in the top three for SRAC Supercross 450 Novice, Open Novice. I am going to keep training and riding so as to become an upcoming force in the B class for 2013. I then am going to set my sights on becoming a professional and ultimately dream of trying to qualify for Thunder Valley as a lifelong goal.

Competitive Highlights

My very first season racing I got up to eighth in points in 250 Novice. I rode a supercross track for the first time ever in competition and got a fifth overall. I came back this season from a dislocated hip that fractured the ball and socket and broke three ribs among chipping two vertebrae and still made it in the top fifteen in 450 Novice. I rode a local race that was a September 11th memorial race and had my patches from my uniform I wore on my first tour in Iraq on it and placed 11th overall.
