Personal History
My name is Chris McArthur and I have been riding for the last three years after a twenty year break. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and went to college in Tennessee. My riding routine is primarily motocross tracks around SoCal, but I also ride trails and open desert with friends. I am married and have three wonderful children. All three are MX fans and learning to ride. I am currently serving as an officer in the Marine Corps and have three combat tours and 19 years of service. Other than riding, I enjoy flying, woodworking, and cycling. I am an Instrument rated pilot and plan to be a flight instructor after I retire in a few years.
Riding Goals
I ride because I love the competition, people I meet at the tracks and races, and physical challenge. Unlike golf, I have never had a bad day on the track. Riding is relaxing for me and a way to unwind from work. My riding goal is always to be faster than the last time I rode. My goal for the upcoming year is to finish top 3 in my class (vet novice) in the Big 6 series, race half of the Over-the-Hill Gang series, and race in the SoCal MX series.
Competitive Highlights
This has been my first year entering local races. Every race has been a highlight.
