Personal History
Well, my name is Chris Guthrie. Currently 26yrs old. I got into motocros at the age of 8. From there I went from a mid pack 85cc rider, to a top 10 250 C rider (then it was called 125C). I raced for 8yrs, 1997-2005 in the D13 series before the loss of my father. After that I had to sell my bike and have a normal life to help my mom.
Fast forward to now, got a street bike in 2013 and another in 2014. Got pretty good at riding that and decided to get back into motocross this year (2016). Picked up a little yz125 and have been doing practice days at my local track SouthFork MX for around 3 months now. Since then I have basically relearned everything I previously knew, and added a few little self taught tips from watching the pros over the course of the last few years dreaming about getting back into the sport, and here I am.
I'm not going to tell you I'm the best there ever was because reality says otherwise. But what I will tell you is that this is my passion, always has been and always will be. I work a typical 9-5 and have responsibilities now, but that doesn't change my hunger at the track. Since I've been back on the track the amount of improvement I make every single day over the previous is insane.
UPDATE: Switched to a YZ450, now running in the 25+C class.
