Personal History
Hi my name is Chris Stewart im 15 years old and I live in West Portsmouth Ohio. I go to Portsmouth West High School and I keep up some pretty good grades. In my free time I love to go out and work on my bike and ride and race it. I pretty much practice whenever and wherever I can. My dad owns a bike shop and helps me with my dirtbike problems such as suspension and all that really important stuff that I dont understand all that much. Where I live motocross is a big thing along with harescrambling cause there is alot of woods around West Portsmouth. I have friends that ride around and sometimes they race so i feel im pretty lucky to have a surrounding like that, cause it definetly keeps me into riding. I train with Perry Hoover (A pro rider from West Portsmouth), and my dad, they teach me good techniques and alot of things that make me go faster. I mostly race my KTM 85 SX, but sometimes I race an RMZ 250 since im gettin ready to move up. I have been racing for 2 1/2 years and have alot of wins under my belt. My dad always takes me racing when he can so I can go to the pros and have a great career like Ricky Carmicheal or Jeremy Mcgrath.
Riding Goals
My goals for the 85 this year is to go to Las Vegas in the Toyota arenacross series in the MGM grand arena, where I hope will help my career will skyrocket. I also am gonna try to do Loretta Lynn's in the 85 class. After I am off the 85 I am going to move up to the 250 class and im gonna try to go to the pros and I will try to do Loretta Lynn's and Toyota series. I plan to pick up alot of sponsors so I can race more and to help keep my bike ready to race.
Competitive Highlights
One of my best competitive highlights was when I went to my first race on a 1991 Kawasaki KX 80, at a fair ground race in Greenup county and I went into the last turn and cut the leader off and won the race, I was so happy to know this and it really made me think that I could really do this for my career cause it felt really good to win. After this happend I got really into racing and went to an indoor race at Henderson Arena and raced against James Justice and lost pretty badly but I just didnt have enough expierience and bike to beat him, so I moved up to a 2006 KTM 85 SX and raced the rest of the series and ended up finishing fifth overall in points just 3 away from 4th. Since I got the KTM my career has taken off and I have won alot of races. Every once in a while i'll loose a race but it just makes me practice harder and ride better, so it isnt really that bad. I also was very happy to make the main race in the Toyota series at Rockford, and ride against the fastest 85 riders in the world.
