Personal History

My name is Chris Moyer, I'm a 24 year old racer from Cambridge Springs, Pa. I've been riding since I was 5. My first bike was suzuki jr 50, and it was the best gift I ever got. It started a lifetime of memories, a lot of pain, and lifetime friends. Growing up I never had race bikes, or any gear to keep me safe, and looking cool. It wasn't till after I graduated, and purchased a 03 ktm sx 250 with a pro circuit motor with all the money I got for graduation that was suppose to pay for school. It about killed me due to lack of experience on a race bike. I kept at it for awhile, and by the end of summer I really stepped up my game. I raced a few local non sanctioned races, and did alright but not great, and knew that I could do better. So winter came, and I started working out, lifting weights, and a lot of cardio. The following summer was like night, and day compared to the season before. Again I raced at the same non sanctioned track, and was finishing top 5 every race. I was hooked, and till 3 years ago I was running top 5 in the b class, then I had a son sold my bike, and focused all my time on family. At the beginning of the summer of 08 I was looking to buy a new vehicle when I stopped at a dealership that sold both vehicles, and yamaha's. Well needless to say I came home with a new yzf 250 in the truck! Spent all of 08 just trying to get back into the swing of riding again. In 09 I raced at mapleshade in Youngsville, Pa. I forgot how much fun it was going from start to the first corner 40 people trying to get the hole shot, what a rush! I've decided that this year is going to be the year that I really step up, and try to dominate. I've been really concentrating on getting back into shape, and want to prove to myself that I still got it. I look at the vets of racing, and know that I still want to be racing when I am at that age. I love this sport so much its not just a hobby, its a lifestyle that some people never get to experience

Riding Goals

This year I will be racing the whole season at mapleshade. I know I will be starting out in the c class, and I know c class will not get you noticed by anyone. It's more of a personal goal of my own to win, and hopefully by July or august be back in the b class. I really want to be that flashy guy, that has all the coolest gear, best looking bike, and just all around fast looking.. By the end of the summer I will be back in the b class, and after that they better be ready for me in the a class

Competitive Highlights

My highlights are really just getting back on the bike, and being able to compete at a higher level, and just progress every race. In 09 I compete in the PAMX, WNY state championships not realizing how huge it was. I raced in 250 c, and open c both classes had over 30 people in each class. In 250 c I finished 17th, and in open c I finished 10th. Clearly not the best race I've ever been in, but that is what is motivating this season. I will guarantee you that I will be doing way better, and in better shape.
