Personal History
Hello, My name is Chris Hunter and I’ve been a rider for most of my life. I started racing BMX at 5 and Motocross at 10. I’ve been to Loretta Lynn’s nine times and finished in the top ten, eight times. I’ve also raced a season of pro nationals in 2003, qualifying for all seven events that I entered, landing 21st place just outside points twice! At that point in my motocross career I decided to go to college and got into my current career as a software professional. Most recently, I spent seven years racing downhill mountain bikes with some success, even winning the US Open in the 30+ Cat 1 class in 2017. I love riding and racing pretty much anything with two wheels. I’m also a husband and a father of two children, Gavin (7) and Naomi (2).
So far in 2021 we’ve had an amazing year. Winning most 40+ motos I’ve entered regionally and finishing 2nd overall at Loretta Lynn’s national in Tennessee! I also just took a win and a podium at the 2021 Kawasaki Race of Champions in the 40+ and 30+ respectively. I couldn’t be happier with how the year has been going.
Riding Goals
I have two 2nd place finishes at Loretta Lynns now. One in 1998 in 250B stock and one in the 40+ senior. It's become a life goal of mine to have one of these championships.
