Personal History
I began my racing career when I was 12 or 13. I tagged along with a friend to a DH mountain bike race. From that day on I was hooked. That winter, I saved what I could and my parents helped me buy my first full suspension bike. The following year I raced the beginner class and was on the podium almost every race and snagged my first sponsor with a near by bike shop. The following year I got a more suited bike and moved up to the jr x division. I was successful immediately and was finishing top 3 consistently. At 15 years old I won my race and my finish time would have place me 3rd in the adult pro class, which earned me a spot in a magazine article, Mountain Bike Action. My behavior and performance seemed to send a shockwave and sponsorship offers kept rolling in. I continued to improve and at 16 or17 I was on a factory bike. The next year or so I'd race regionally and nationally but my interest and performance began to drop as I began to experiment with drugs in my teens. Unfortunately it wasn't long after that that I stopped racing. It wasn't long after that that I sold my bike. Then in what seems like a flash it was years later and I was still battling addiction. Finally at 21 years old I was able to get some help and turn my life around and repair my reputation. It has taken my until this season to be able to responsibly buy a dirt bike. Something I've wanted for a while. Above all that, I am most grateful that I have been able to start RACING!!! I have been going to the races in the surrounding states and have been successful so far and received my first offer. Having been though and overcoming many hardships I have grown and matured and am giving my all into racing once again. Luckily I have a supportive wife who is willing to sacrifice to let me follow my dreams, but I am here to try and offset the never ending cost of racing and to find partners who wish to grow with me in this sport.
Riding Goals
