Personal History

I learned to ride when I was 3 years old and was hooked! I was really involved in traditional sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball, baseball, football, and karate growing which didn’t leave much time for riding. I always loved to watch racing and dreamed of having a race bike one day. When I was 16 years old I decided it was time to quit team sports and chase my dream of racing! I worked for a year and saved all my money to buy my first race bike, a 2005 KTM 450. A 450 was the only choice because at the time I was lifting heavily for football and weighed over 260 pounds! Shortly after turning 17 I competed in my first race. I ended up winning my first race and knew this was what I wanted to do! That same year I lost 70 pounds and became the 2nd rider in history to qualify for the largest amateur race in the world, Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National. Now 5 years later at the age of 23 I am ready to embark on the next chapter of my racing career; the professional ranks.

Riding Goals

My main goal for next year is to have a smooth transition from the top of the local pro classes to the top of the A/Pro classes nationally. My main focus next year is Loretta Lynn’s. I want to improve on my lap times from this year and to finish in the top 5 overall in the 450 A/Pro Sport classes and earn my pro card. Also I would like to cross train more next year by racing select WORCS races. I am the Coach/Owner of a riding school and another big goal of mine is to set a good example on and off the track for all of my students.

Competitive Highlights

I would have to say that my biggest accomplishment with racing has been my dedication to progression. I am always driven to learn and try more. With that attitude I have qualified for Loretta Lynn’s every time that I have tried, including my first year of racing. I have 3 podiums and 11 top ten overalls at the largest amateur races in the country. I placed 2nd overall in the College Boy class at the 2010 Ponca City Grand Nationals. In 2008 I placed 1st overall in the Berthoud Hare Scramble Series, Also I placed 1st in both classes at a WORCS Race in Payette, Idaho. I am also very proud of my rookie season as an A level rider. I won my first ever A level race and had a very successful year.
