Personal History

My name is Chaz Ozrow Cornia and I am extremly passionate and dedicated to motocross. Ever since I could remember all I wanted to do was ride dirt bikes. I got my first dirt bike when I was five years old at a motocross race, it was a Honda 50. I knew right then and there that was what I wanted to do when I got older. I soon grew out of the 50 and moved up to a SX65. I wanted to race it but my parents didn't let me. I took dune trips almost every other weekend with my dad and my favorite thing to do there was go as fast as I could on the sandy trails like I was in a Motocross race. We soon traded the 65 for a YZ80 and that was when I first started racing. My first year I raced in Mesquite Nevada, Ogden Utah. I didn't travel with a series I just went to a select few. One race day my dad decided to race his WR426. He wrecked hard and broke his back. The same day my 80 blew up. Due to medical bills we couldn't afford to fix my bike and continue racing. A short while after my dad's back was heeled my parents decided to get a divorce. My dad moved away to Wyoming and I stayed with my mom in Utah. A couple years later I started hangin out with my dad again and he wanted me to start racing. We fixed up the 80 and sold it for a SX200. I practiced on it for a year untill I felt comfortable enough to race it. In the year of 2009 I signed up with the Wild West National series and I raced in the begginer class. At the end of the season my dad got married for the 3rd and bailed out on me. He took the 200 with him along with the bike trailer. He no longer supports me. I talked to Grandma and my mom and we moved me up to a SXF450.Im racing this year in the 250/450 Junior class.

Riding Goals

This coming year I want to race in the junior class and Open Amateur. At the end of the year I want to do a few Intermediate races to see where I stand in that class. I would have raced Open Amateur this season but my mom can barely afford for me to make it to each race weekend. I hope to find lots of sponsors so I can represent they're brand and products as much as I possibly can. This way my mom will save money of parts and gear so we can afford for me to race in some more classes and practice a lot more. My long-term goal is to get a factory sponsor and race in the AMA Super cross and win a championship. I am willing to do anything and everything it takes to get up to that level. I just need some help getting there.

Competitive Highlights

I first started racing when I was 12 on my YZ80. I never really did that well on my 80 but I didn’t really go to that many races either. I took 1st place in the 125/250 Beginner class in the Wild West Nationals in 2009. I also took a 1st place in an Arena cross race that I competed in that year in Wyoming. Arena cross isn't my favorite but I have a huge desire to ride more indore races and be better at it. I've been finishing top ten in all of my races mostly 4th or 5th. The top guys in my class aren't that far ahead of me I just need to get some more practice in. I am standing 4th place in junior class this year in the points standing and I am gaining on 3rd.
