Personal History

Hi. My name is Chaydan Kerns. I just turned 8 years old in December and I live in Worthington Kentucky. I have really enjoyed racing for the past couple of years while also playing sports like Football, Baseball and Basketball for my elementary school. But I love riding more than anything and want to start focusing on it full time. I think it makes my mom nervous but she is my biggest fan. Just don't tell my dad!! As long as I am happy they are happy!!  I guess you could say I am right in the middle of my brothers and sisters. I have one older brother and a younger brother and younger sister. So anytime I can spend on the track with my dad with just me and him is awesome!!!

Riding Goals

I have been riding since I was 3 years old. I started out just riding around the yard and working up the nerve to make little jumps across the driveway and now my dad has built me my own practice track at home. I started racing when I was 5 years old at a local track in Ohio. Rock Camp Motorcross has been my home track ever since. I have traveled a little bit around the area to race in local races, like the motorcross track in Milton WV and in Huntington WV. But I want to really start spending more time on the track and more time competing. I want to be able to race against kids that I haven't raced in the past and put my talents to the test. Louisville KY will be my first larger scale race where I will get to do that and I am so excited for that race to get here. But that is only the beginning for me. This past year I completed in my first points racing system but split time between racing and football so it was hard to stay focused. This year I am focusing on racing. The other rider that won the points race in my division has never beat me at a race and it just shows me what I can do if I focus on racing 100 % of the time. I would like to make it to the Loretta Lynn Race as well in the next year or so as well as racing at Earlywine in Maysville KY.

Competitive Highlights

I would have to say that my competitive highlights have really shown through this past racing season. I brought home multiple first place trophies as well as second and third place trophies. But my favorite was winning two races in Milton WV and bringing home my first overall first place trophy in my first points race. It makes me want to win that much more.
