Personal History
I started out a few years ago by riding a mini bike for a year or so and then moved up to a new 2011 Yamaha YZ85. I'm a big fan of Adam Cianciarulo and Ryan Villopoto. In 2009, I went to see my first race at the Indy Supercross and loved it. That’s when I became hooked on the sport. I began riding with my brother-in-law, James Hays, at his practice track. Soon afterward, I joined Hays Racing Team to learn more about racing and being ready to race. In 2011 & 2012, I started racing and improving at each event. I Loved every minute of it. My favorite are the jumps. My goals were to get to as many races as I could and get faster and more confident. I really want to go to a MX camp and get some training so I can eventually go Pro. Love this sport! In 2013, I have been preparing for a busy and exciting racing season. Getting more gear and our parts supply, ready to take off to events farther from home this year. In June 2013, I attended camp at Millsaps Training Facility in Cairo, Georgia. Had a great time at MTF, learned a lot, met a lot of cool people, and made some new friends.
In 2014, I'm gearing up for a busy mx season. Already scheduled for training at Millsaps Training Facility in May. Looking forward to riding my new Yamaha YZ125 that I got for Christmas. Racing in the Grassroots MX Championship Series this year.
Riding Goals
In 2013, I want to improve my skills so I can win more races and race in some of the big events in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. Last year, I hit some Amateur Nationals all over the country, starting with Norman, OK and Branson, MO. Also, this year I plan on attending MX Camp at Millsaps Training Facility in Cairo, Georgia in June. Improving my starts and corners are a couple skills I want to work on this season. Races are won and lost in the corners!
I want to go Pro someday.
In 2014, scheduled for training at Millsaps Training Facility in May. I plan on getting more experience on my new YZ125 and just racing at every race I can.
Competitive Highlights
April 14, 2013, I took home a 1st place in the 85 Class. Took home a 2nd place in the SuperMini Class. And took home a 4th Place in the Schoolboy 12-15 Class.
