Personal History

My name is Charlie Oxford, I am forty eight years old and I live in Crystal River Florida.  I am a twenty five year employee of Progress Energy, in Crystal River.  I have been racing vintage motocross for the last two years. I race in the Florida vintage motocross series, www.flvmx.com. The Florida series runs a twelve to sixteen race schedule, from November to July each year, on several tracks in and around central or north Florida.   I am also, an AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) and an AHRMA, (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) member.  I also race nationally in the AHRMA series, www.ahrma.org,  from March to November each year, primarily in the southeastern U.S.

As a teenager from 1973 to 1976, I raced motocross locally in north Florida and south Georgia. I had some success in those years racing, but allowed life to take me in other directions. It was the long time love of the sport that brought me back after 30 years.

Three years ago I obtained a 1976 Yamaha YZ 125 X model, very similar to the bike I raced in 1976.  I then obtained a 1976 Yamaha YZ 250C model.  I performed total restorations on both bikes. I started competing in the Florida series in October 2005 and have totally committed to the sport and that series. I have started every moto at every race since, totaling twenty eight straight. I have an exercise program four days a week along with proper diets in order to aid my success. 

 I won the Evolution One, expert class championship for the 2006/2007 season. Currently I am third nationally, in the AHRMA series, with one more race to go for me, this season.

Riding Goals

I would like to promote your product at the race tracks I attend, starting in November 2007 in the Florida series, and in March 2008 for the AHRMA series.

Since I started racing, I have used your product, specifically for my needs with much success.  I can enthusiastically share that information, with other racers, fans, and promoters, by posting signs or banners in my pits. I can dress in your companies logo’d apparel .I can pass out flyers or product specific samples. I can do this at vintage motocross events through out Florida and from Texas to North Carolina. I would like to attend more of the national races but I need your help.

I obtained a 1974 Yamaha YZ 250 A for racing in the vintage “sportsman” expert class. My goals for the 2007/2008, Florida and AHRMA national series will be expert class championships.  It would be my honor and privilege to promote your product while standing on the podium at local races and at national events.
