Personal History
Hi, my name is Charles Hitchcock. Recently, I purchased a new YZ450 to join my brother and all of his friends in the racing world. It's been some time since I've been out and riding but I sure have missed it. I've spent days practicing and riding and I truly enjoy it so much. When I was younger, I raced BMX and did very well as a young child and preteen winning local championships and even national championships. In racing bicycles, I began to move to motorcycles but as a young child with parents getting divorced, everything slowly dissipated but I'm older and doing this on my own. Riding has always been a very deep passion and great hobby. I am very much so looking forward to starting out with my brother and friends and enjoying my first race season. I do thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Riding Goals
I just bought my new bike this past weekend and I've spent the last three days riding and riding becoming more and more comfortable with my new bike. In less then two weeks I will be at my first race and I will be as prepared as I can be. Being that I'm just starting out, I want to continue learning everything all over again after not riding very much for so long. I want to enjoy the company of all the riders, enjoy the days looking over the handle bars, and just have fun. Not everything is about winning or losing to me, it's about enjoying the ride and enjoying everyone around you. I want to start at the bottom and move my way up no matter the time and difficulty, I will keep pushing on getting better and enjoy every minute of it.Competitive Highlights
As a young boy, I raced BMX. My very first year, I won the 2000 year national championship in Tulsa, OK. After that, I began to get better and better racing, moving up classes quickly. It was hard moving up being young racing with older riders but I always managed to keep my head up and race my heart out. I didn't win every time but in the years I raced, I put a lot of championships under my belt along with many local races. I started to move up to motorcycles but my parents divorced and my hobby died with it. Now I'm back twelve years later, after not riding a motorcycle often for the past eight years, starting at the bottom to work my way up the best I can and build a resume to show you. Until then, I will just enjoy the ride and enjoy the company of everyone, whether I come in the top or or come in the last.
