Personal History

I started racing in 2011 in the beginner class at age 24.  I am very excited to be able to do something I have always wanted but never had the chance growing up.  I am in the military so that takes a lot of my time away from the track but when I can make it, I am there!  I started out on a 2006 Suzuki RM 250 2 stroke and I have moved up to a 2007 Suzuki RMZ 450.  I grew up around bikes my whole life as my father is a Harley-Davidson mechanic.  I didn't have the opportunity to have dirt bikes growing up so now that I am out on my own I started to get into racing a bit.  I chose the number 34 as that was my football number in high school and it turns out to be my lucky number as well.  I love to ride anytime I have the opportunity and it is nice out.  Whether it is on the street or in the dirt, I just want to ride!!  I enjoying spending time with my friends and fellow riders.

Riding Goals

I am new to the racing scene so I have many ambitions to get better but first I in the process of learning all the basics about motocross.  I want to learn how to to get out of the gate fast and first.  I want to learn how to set myself up for passing safely and being competitive as well.  I also want to progress in how to take turns with out slowing myself down or minimizing brake usage.  Next, I want to learn the basics about jumping and controlling the bike while in the air and what to do in certain situations.  Brake to drop the front-end or gas to raise it.  I need to practice more on body positioning and leaning more to the front of the bike as the front wheel determines where I will go.

For the race season 2013, I want to try and attend all the races that I can and place the best that I can.  I will always give my all and be genuinely  competitive.  I am always trying to progress in any areas that I can and better my riding skills.  I am starting late in life but I want to have fun with it and do my best every time.

Competitive Highlights

The only racing highlight I have for right now is one of my final races for the 2011 season was with another racer.  We were on the final lap and we were battling for 2nd.  He would take it for a few turns and then I would pass and so forth and so on.  It came down to the last turn and we were rubbing bars and it was extremely intense but I was able to come away with second place.  I have never been more excited because of the actions we were faced with determined who would come out ahead.  It was a good clean race and one that I will never forget!
