Personal History

My name is Chandler Kunkle. I am 20 years old. I work on an oil rig in North Dakota and grew up riding dirtbikes with my dad at 3 years old. Motocross has always drawn my attention. My father bought me a PW-50 at 3 years old; he welded training wheels on and I rode it around the property sun up to sun down or until it ran out of gas. As I grew up, my parents divorced at the age of 7. Unfortunately, I had lost the PW-50, moved to a different house with my mom and sister where I wasn’t financially able to buy another dirtbike. Time passes, 13 years old I started cutting grass in the neighborhood to buy a dirtbike. I rode until 15 or 16 years old then called it quits because I thought that work was more important at the time, turns out doing the things you love and working is the way to do it. Here recently bought a 2022 crf250r and while I’m home on my off days I go to different tracks in different states. I raced the end of the sweet home Alabama series in 2024, looking to take place in all of 25’s events.

Riding Goals

Riding is therapy. Growing up everyone said, “that kid has lots of potential” and now that I’m grown and financially stable; I want to put this “Potential” on the track. This year I want to maintain 1-3rd place D and/or open D year around so that 2026’s season I can hopefully move up and make a light shine in C class.

Competitive Highlights

Last year at dodge city’s biggest race it rained 3 days prior and all day the day of the race. I have never raced in mud, and so that was a first. Ended up coming out 2nd place in 250 D class. Pretty big accomplishment for me considering I work 14 days on and 14 days off.
