Personal History
I am a 15 year old Sophmore at Petoskey High School. I have lived in Petoskey my entire life. My parents are divorced so I spend time at both of their houses. I love everything that has to do with moto. This year I became a sponsored rider with Braap Supplies and am looking for more sponsors to help me make it to the next level in my racing career. I started riding when I was 8 years old. I had watched motocross racing with my dad for several years and Jeremy McGrath was my hero. He is the main reason I decided to start riding. My mom recently signed me up to attend the Ricky Carmichael University session that will be held on July 3, 2013 at Red Bud in Buchanan, MI. I will train on Wednesday July 3, 2013 and compete at the National Amateur race at Red Bud on Friday July 5, 2013. I am extremely excited that I am able to experience this opportunity and I'm positive I will learn a lot from Ricky and the other instructors at this session. I am looking for any type of sponsorship that could help me get exposure so I could start competing at the National Amateur level.
Riding Goals
Every year I strive to be a better rider than I was the previous year. I practice every day thanks to my dad who is devoted to my riding career. I am excited at what I will learn at the Ricky Carmichael University on July 3, 2013 and am positive that this experience will help me make my dreams of becoming a pro-rider come true some day.
I work very hard, during the winter months I work out and run at my school so I can stay in shape for the upcoming motocross season. My parents have given up a lot financially to get me as far as I have gotten so far. I like to make them proud and be the best rider I can be.
Competitive Highlights
I began at a small track in Onaway Michigan where I won the season championship in the 65 beginner class and then the 65 expert class. I moved up to an 85 the following year and won the season championship in the 85 beginner class and 85 expert class. In 2012 I moved to the 125 cc. class because I just didn't have the amount of competition I needed in the smaller bike classes. I like to ride against people who are better than me because I feel that it teaches me more about riding and makes me a better rider. To my surprise I won the 125 C class championship at a much bigger track in Mio, MI. I was competing against men in their 20 and 30's which made me extremely proud of this accomplishment.
