Personal History

I just turned 10 years old, born December 1, 2002.  I have a sister, Daisy, who is 12, I also have 1 dog and a cat.  I have been riding motorcycles since I was 19 MONTHS old.  I started riding without training wheels on a bicycle at 2 years old.  I started racing motocross when I was 4.  My parents were both very accomplished motocross and cross country racers themselves.  My dad was a pro and won some state pro championships and national amateur championships and my mom won some womens intermediate national and world championships, as well as several Oklahoma State Championships.  They owned a Yamaha motorcycle shop and have owned 2 motocross tracks and have promoted motocross races since 1992.  That is why they say that  'I was born and bred to rip and shred!'  I believe that is true because that's all I want to do.  I TRULY  love motocross.  It is all I think about and want to do.

I have been compared to Trey Canard since I was 2.  My riding style resembles his and I look kind of like him when he was my age.

***** I promise to you that I give my racing 100% from about 10 minutes before the gate drops to the finish line - I am in full race mode.  I race to the best of my ability the whole race, never give up, push - push - push.   I DO NOT LIKE 2nd PLACE! That is just they way I am. *****        Sincerely, Chandler Baker - Motocross Racer

Riding Goals

For the year of 2013, I would like to win some nationals, or place in the top 3 again and win more State Championships.  I am hoping that I will be able to practice more than ever to get faster.  I  hope to get some support so that we can do more in my sport. I also want to get my sponsors more publicity so their businesses will grow and prosper even more and to promote them and my sport in the best light and help motocross become a more mainstream and popular sport.

Competitive Highlights

My competitive highlights would be that I won the Branson National Championship in 2009 and 2011 (2 classes) and just recently 2012.  I have been the Oklahoma State Champion for 4 years in a row.  In 2009, I was undefeated in the Pee Wee Oil Injected  4-8 class.  In 2010, when I was 7,  I won the Pee Wee Open through 8 class.  The year of 2011, I won 3 classes in the 11 race series, undefeated in 1 class, and losing only 2 motos in the other two, due to a mechanical failure and crashing twice in a moto.  I also got second overall in the series in the 65cc Open thru 11 and I was only 8.  I got 3rd at the GNC, and my best finish at the NMA Ponca City Grand National Championship was 4th.  For 2012, in the Oklahoma State Championship Series, I won 3 more classes: 65 9-11, 65 open, 85 Junior 9-11, and I got 7th overall in the Supermini class on a stock KX 85.  At 9 years old, I was the VERY YOUNGEST rider in these classes.  At the Branson National Championship, I won the 65cc Open through 11, and got 2nd in my 3 other classes: 65 9-11 stock, 65cc 9-11 mod, 85cc 9-11 stock.  I got 3rd place in the Super Pee Wee class at the GNC.  I have raced the Lazy E Arenacross every year since 2009,  and have won every year.  In 2011 and 2012, I won all 4 of my classes.  I have qualified for Loretta Lynn's both times I tried (2009 and 2012) with second at both Regional Qualifiers that were both big battles.  I qualified in the 50cc 4-6 class in 2009 and crashed and got hurt at Loretta's.  A shoulder injury the week before at Ponca City kept me from competing at Loretta Lynn's in 2012.
