Personal History
My name is Chad Dickerhoof, I am married to my wife Gabrielle and I just turned 30 years old this summer. I have been very active my whole life, playing college soccer, snowboarding and riding dirt bikes. Last year my brother and myself decided to get back into riding since college soccer would not allow us to do so. I start riding dirt bikes when I turned 3 years old and loved the sport ever since. This year was our first year racing GNCC races on the east side of the country. I ended up getting 2nd overall for the entire GNCC series in the OpenC class which had 99 racers. I missed 4 of the races early in the year because we decided later in the year that we were going to do it with COVID going on the in the country. I have a very supportive family that comes to all of our races and helps with anything we need, which helps a lot. I am looking forward to doing all of the GNCC races next year in 2021 and the local races here in Ohio.
Riding Goals
My goal next year is getting number 1 overall for the GNCC open C class. With this being my first year racing and getting 2nd overall for the series, I now know what to expect and how to mentally prepare for the races. I’m looking forward to training hard and getting in better shape for the 2021 season.
Competitive Highlights
This years best Highlight for me was getting 1st place out of 26 racers in the openC at the Ironman GNCC race. It was the biggest racer turnout with over 960 entrants. I finished the GNCC series strong, getting top 5 in the last 7 races. The last two races of the year I was able to win back to back putting me 2nd overall for the year.
